Chaos sigils have got nothing to do with with sacred geometry and transformation circles (isn't that an anime thing?) - you create them yourself, for yourself and for a specific purpose only. I would even claim that any visual resemblances to other known shapes, be it the Recondite Seal of Pharao Big-Bam-Boo or the Toyota logo, would take away from their effectiveness. Chaos sigil magic is free-form and doesn't follow any so-called 'sacred laws' of yore. Chaos sigils are basically throwaways - you use them, and then you lose them (although there is a big discussion whether they should be destroyed after charging or not).

Traditional grimoire sigils are another matter. In his "The Faculty of Abrac", John R. King IV discovers all sorts of symbols and meanings in Goetia sigils, so if you'd like to construct 'classical' sigils, you might find some inspiration there.

Apparently  That type of thing really annoys me, when you are trying to dig for information and you end up on a World of Warcraft profile of a player who found an obscure word . But my two seconds Google research makes me think these type of circles could work as a seal / altar-design made for one specific purpose. Not a bad idea. In those I would use sacred geometry, and then go with the shapes that correspond with the planets (for the goal that is aimed for). So if you want to charge an object to improve your divination skills then make the basis of the seal a nine pointed star for example

I've sometimes played with the idea of creating a personal sigil, like a

, but having no graphic design skills whatsoever, I quickly gave up on it. Such a sigil could encapsulate a personal motto, a combination of symbols I find cool (alchemical, zodiacal, what have you), bits from a private alphabet of desire, punctuation characters (I often include an exclamation mark in my chaos magic sigils to denote urgency, like in the PGM frequently occuring formula "Quickly, quickly, immediately, immediately!"), etc. That Abrac book I mentioned above has some very ingenious explanations for Goetia demon sigils - Stolos', for example, supposedly depicts a map of the Mediterranean as well as the location of various locations around it. Pity Jimmy Page's personal chop is already taken though:

With sigils, I've found it useful to meditate on the intent behind the sigil you want to create, visualizing the form the sigil might take until it's shape pops into mind. Basically I scry to create sigils; it makes it so the sigil itself won't have any dissonance with the intent behind it in the same way sigils can have when they are created with other methods.
