First big shoutout for the webpage that still offers resources for those who are willing to create the copy of the book. The resources are perfect starter for such idea.
Honestly I'm not 100% sure I will finish this one, definitely I don't have resources for work with real skin and leatherette is not offering all that skin offers as material. Cover is the lesser issue, however. I don't really like to create a bok that I would not be able to read. Even semifake book should have better than just random text. I got the idea that nine gates could fit the Kabbalah tree of death, first being introductory text and then nine as gates, maybe? No idea what text should be used for dark mystical text of this style. Open to ideas.
However one thing is done and that is the engravings, the legendary nine pictures of this book. It actually little disappointed me that HD scans are nowhere to be found, except the tutorial web, which I used as a start. The rest I did in photoshop from the picture that included all of the gates in good enough res. So if nothing else, here I share complete set of the Nine gates engravings including the versions that are different in original book. (All I know about.) Since I now have them, I thought it would be cool to share them with others.
The folder includes all engravings as well as sources from the tutorial page, just to have them backed up.
