Greetings forum,

Glad to be here, thanks for holding this space!

My studies tend to circle around the "perennial traditions" found among humanity in every era, and the considerable overlap with various disclipines and sciences found in adjacent societies.

Always happy to engage in constructive dialogue, or to help with obscure research.

Peace!

Greetings! Any titles you care to mention as to those perennial traditions? I lean that way myself, but there is some scrapping that goes on as to whose tradition is more perennial. I'm often a Guenon guy, for instance.

No need to thank for holding space. According to my boss and my wife, that's all I do. (Such seems to be the upshot of their "coffin-doding oxygen bandit!") Welcome aboard.

I do appreciate a warm welcome, thanks for that!

Once my S.O.'s eyes begin to glaze over, I just tend to say "I'm gonna shut up now" lol. Silence being golden, and all.

Guenon's work is excellent, although I don't get into politics much. We're all facets of the same gem, in my worldview. Working to extinguish that ego! Steiner's work on the fourth dimension, for example, was super useful to me, even though Guenon and Steiner didn't always agree.

It was actually study of Al Kindi's "De Radiis" which led me to the forum's threshold, I'm looking forward to the discussion thread once I've digested the work.

My reading list is... eclectic at the moment. Topics of study include ecosystem theory, tasawwuf, taoism, hermetica, electrical engineering and software, botany, urban esoteric currents and traditions (everything from the ikhwan al safa to the knights of pythias, rosicrucianism to the moorish science temple, and all points in between).

I hope to share some of the primary source material that I'm working with, still learning the forum rules! There's a lot that's not in English... Who knows, perhaps we can get some collaboration on translations?
