"Interesting" in the Chinese sense?

He has an often thankless, caustic role to play, with historical and cultural references that go over the heads of many. I certainly felt his absence during his ban.

I suspect if we were on a desert island we'd pass the time by plotting each others' demise, reminded a little of the relationship between France and Britain, the jeering and scorn relentless... but gods help the third party that tries to get between them.

Nah, you'd scrag me first day. I'm a lousy plotter. I always have to brag to folks how clever I'm being. And, it being a desert island, word'd get out fast.

Diligence, that's what it takes. My sexy*-genarian self have been working on mastering Slovak for (oddly enough) three months. I can manage to sneer an "ani kokot!" or bellow a rousing, "Jebal ta pes!"

Me, I just live in China. I speak the language and eat the food but am still a chronic 老外。 I was born and brought up in the U.S., my ancestral roots are in the erstwhile "Upper Hungary" of the dear old Doppel Monarchie of the Habsburgers. (Presently styled Slovakia, and Marian Kotleba, a toast to you!)
