Hey there Brothers and Sisters! ;)

There are quite a few of you fellow magicians, sorcerers, witches and wizards that I would like to dialog with, and I'm considering this "Journal" section as a sort of Crossroads / Liminal area that might minimize a lot of basic bullshit.

Let's say I have a Lot of discursive topics that I'd like to share with y'all, these would include both questions I'm putting forth for discussion, and topics that I feel competent to expound upon for discussion as well, that said, here is my question:

It appears that a "Journal" is best suited to a single topic, however complex / convoluted that may be, rather than designed to analyze a dozen discursive topics within a single Journal, am I perceiving this correctly, duh? If that's so, that would imply that the "multitude" of topics I have in mind would "each" merit it's own "Journal", is that basically correct? That would be a LOT of "Journals"! :coffee:

I Can be somewhat dense at times, it's merely an eccentricity I've had for a while! :D

Hopefully this is the "right" place to ask this question, seems "right" to Me!

A Journal is where you can share all your ideas / diary / frustrations in one thread. In my opinion it's better to have one of these than create 25 threads in a row.

also journals aren't made to be interactive by multiple people as far as i can tell.
sure one can drop in and poke things about for a question or three but it's still a one-user type of thing
where as in general and q&a that is fine.

Just to clarify what I'm talking about, here's a Few examples.
Let's say I'd like to dialog on these topics, in no special order:

Pantheism vs. Polytheism vs. (Soft Polytheism), Ala Dion Fortune

A method I evolved for creating Personal Words of Power, a variation on "auditory" sigils, works for me!

Barbarous / Divine Words and Names of Power, NOT personally created, or... Changed!
(But experimentally vibrated with varying Tone, Pitch + Results)

The Egregore of This Forum or any other forum, or order or coven or corporation or..., and Who's Consciously Contributing to it, as well as a/the Key/s to facilitate that.

These are only a Few of the topics I'm primarily interested in discussing, there's a small handful of others as well, it's not straightforward .
I've been reluctant to start with much of this because of the sheer variation of topics. Of course I'm Aware that Some of these or vaguely similar topics have been posted. For my money it's easier to start from scratch than to fit these things into an existing structure, which is why I was hoping to find a structure that would allow multi- topic dialog "within" a self contained struture, duh, that's a mouthful!

I get into some Deep Stuff, and a few Corners sometimes. You're definitely someone I'd enjoy and appreciate dialoging with!
Thanks for the offer, I shall endeavor to make it worth our while!

Yeah you can (and should!) post all those in existing sections with no problems that i can see.

I get into some Deep Stuff, and a few Corners sometimes
very good, though first you will have to reach the dm limit (50 public posts i believe)
the point remains, don't you worry about a thing and post to the best of your reasoning as per the rules and guidelines
you'll be fine the gang will help i have no doubt.
those are all interesting topics im looking forward to seeing more.

I personally think that posting each of those in the appropriate cathegories is the best option, but if you want you can create a journal about "Musings and Discussions" where you can put in there all the topics that currently tickle your fancy.

Though be warned that most people seemingly don't see much the journal section(as it is considered a more "self" section, unlike the rest of the forum that is clearly a place to share knowledge and comment over it), and even less seem to interact with the journals of others. That's why you would have better chances(of getting engagement) at making individual threads in separate gathegories.

@ Taudefindi,

Thanks for your input too, makes good sense!
This is enough advice for me to consider this matter closed, 🤘
