Sabbat / Esbat Bread or Cakes!

1 1 ⁄4 cups boiling water
1 cup oats
1 ⁄2 cup butter
1 1 ⁄2 cups honey
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3 ⁄4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 ⁄4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 ⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 ⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a bowl, pour the boiling
water over the oats and butter.

Cover the bowl with a paper towel and let stand for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix together the honey, eggs, and vanilla in a separate container.

Next, add in the oat and butter mixture, flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
Place the dough in a well-greased bread pan, or cookie sheet if making Cakes!

Put in the oven for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
