My name is Kalliopi, Kal for short. I’m 29, and I live in coastal NC, USA. I have been drawn towards esotericism since youth. I cannot claim to be an expert in anything, but I have found many gifts within the realms of Hermeticism and Gnosticism. I like to peruse many topics because I have an open mind, but I do my best to keep my discerning eye open at all times.

In my early 20s I was a “lazy” Wiccan, I suppose, and I worked with Hecate for a good while. Then I went through a period of spiritual dryness and didn’t practice doodly squat. I thought that maybe I had just gone through a phase. Then when I turned 27, something shifted and my passion for the esoteric world lit up again, even stronger, but from a more grounded perspective.

I’ve spent the last two years studying as much as I can to expand my understanding of the subconscious mind, and everything I aim to do as I grow in my practice is to obtain results that unleash creative freedom and heal the repressed Divine Feminine. Since realizing this, the archetype of Mary Magdalene has appeared to me as a guide, which was completely unexpected. I denied those calls for about a year until I finally accepted her, and then everything started to shift for the better. I also am beginning to work with Lilith and Isis as well, and I hope to establish a clearer relationship with these archetypes in the future.

As far as Magickal practice goes, I will admit in the past I have been quite lax and somewhat aimless. Since the way I conduct myself has changed, I am not yet confident enough to label myself proper. I am relearning what it means to build an understanding of Self (or I suppose, return to Self). If someone told me I must choose a label today though, I’d say the closest description would be a green witch.

I have joined this forum in hopes that I can continue treading safely on this path, learn some cool things, meet some knowledgeable practitioners, and build confidence! I’ve been a very private person and I am nervous to be seen, but I am glad to be here now. Thanks for reading!
