The crawling sensation I get that death is going to come soon. Which I had a few weeks ago. When exactly, I don't remember.

There isn't knowing it will happen until it happens.

I have no idea what I would do until then. I guess if I could redo my life I would have but it might be too late now.

There is a folkloric belief that changing your name can temporarily keep death from visiting you. Folklore aside, it’s possible what you are feeling is the presence of a hungry spirit. They often feed off of life force or deliberately do things to bring death to a target. If one is around it would definitely cause you to feel a sense of impending death. In FL I had to deal with a very powerful one that was using the speed train at an intersection to kill people constantly. We were averaging four deaths a week on it. It did this by influencing depressed people to want to commit suicide there, by causing people to feel more impatient and think they can get across before the speed train could hit them, by enhancing road rage in the area, by causing accidents on the overpass above to fall onto the track, by enticing dare devils, and by entrancing the homeless into thinking allowing it to end them would be better.

But worse yet is that if you were in the area it could mark you for death. When this one marked someone for death they would feel panic and feel they were in immediate danger while hearing the sound of the speed train approaching and its warning horn. This phenomena was reported to me during interviews with family members of victims it had claimed and my own investigation had gotten its attention. It marked my mother for death the next time she drove up to it. She and my sibling were in the car and suddenly she broke into a cold sweat and was frantically looking around for the train she heard that sounded like it was right there. It was so loud to her that when my sibling said they couldn’t hear it she thought they were messing with her.

Later she would come and tell me about what she experienced and that since that had happened she had felt a sense of impending death. I knew as soon as she described it what was wrong and immediately got to work on preventing that from coming to pass. I had already planned to fight the hungry spirit but I had originally planned to do it after more research was done. I had wanted to try communicating with it and sending it elsewhere originally but that was no longer an option as far as I was concerned. I knew I had to make a hungry spirit trap. This would be a bottle that I would place in a river after an offering was made. I performed the ritual below and successfully trapped the hungry spirit. As soon as the spirit was in the river she called me to tell me that she suddenly felt relieved and asked if I had done it (referring to smuggling the spirit into the nature preserve where the river spirit I knew was). As an added bonus people stopped dying there and it took two months for a human to die there of their own accord.

Supplies needed: one bottle of either glass/wood/gourd, a cork or air tight top, an incense burner (make sure to have a tea light for it or incense charcoal depending on the type.), black sealing wax, sealing wax warmer, a sterile way to draw blood (I used a needle I held in fire and then cooled), tobacco (cigarette/cigar/lose with pipe), honey, rose petals (you don’t need a lot and you could switch it out for a bay leaf or piece of red paper), red wine (powder/liquid), lavender, dandelion, mugwort, sage, rosemary, sweet grass, dragons blood resin, ginger, quartz crystals (they can be tiny little chips or sand), virgin spring water (That just means it hasn’t been used for anything else or drank from. You can buy it in a bottle. For best results have it blessed by your divinity or a strong spirit if you have/know one.), Celtic sea salt, an object belonging to the individual being targeted (it must be something they wear or touch often. Don’t worry it won’t be ruined.), and a black chime candle.

For mine I used my blood smeared on rose petals, honey, wine powder, tobacco, lavender, sweet grass, dragon's blood, ginger, and quartz crystals, a 3 oz glass bottle with a cork top, sealing wax, black candle, an incense charcoal, a fire safe incense burner, virgin spring water, Celtic sea salt (the kind dried on blackthorns is the most powerful I’ve ever used.), my mothers glasses, and a way to smoke tobacco ( I used a cigar).

To start the ritual, create an inviting space for spirits outside. This is important because you never want to invite hungry spirits into your home. To make the area inviting, sprinkle ginger and lavender around the area You will be working and burn incense made of sweet grass, lavender, dandelion, mugwort, sage, rosemary and dragon's blood. After that, take the spring water and with your left hand make a cross on the ground to symbolize an in-between place. Then still using the spring water make a circle around that. After that sprinkle lavender all around the outside of that circle. Then if you can (this isn’t always necessary but I recommend it if you feel the spirit is very powerful.) add an open circle of sea salt around that.

Next place your jar in the middle of the portal and place some of the lavender, dandelion, bloodied roses, ginger, mugwort, wine, honey, clear quartz crystals, and sweet grass inside the jar. These things act as food/a lure to the hungry spirits and will trick them into going into the bottle. After you have your jar assembled with its cork still off you should start melting your sealing wax so that it will be ready when you need to actually seal the bottle. While doing that you can top off your incense and add some tobacco to it while you call to (your protectors/divinities) and ask them for protection during this work.

After that you will either wear the item or the target or have it on your person for the ritual. Then you will light the black candle (this is to further entice spirits and add power to the ones that you actually work with that know this bottle is not for them.) After lighting the candle you will invite the hungry spirit/spirits that are troubling you. (If you don’t work with the tobacco spirit you should as it has powerful death magic and asks for its aid in advance before starting the actual ritual.) Light the cigar or tobacco source and blow the smoke from it into the jar and wave it around the jar while calling the hungry spirits. Invite them to come into the jar and feed on the offerings for them. Once you have done that you may sit the cigar or tobacco smoke source to the side as an offering. I sat mine with the incense offering to continue burning.

Now you will want to focus your attention upon the jar. If you are not well versed in feeling energy changes or seeing spirits you may want a way to divine when they are actually in the bottle. It also helps to imagine a visual or the sensation of the bottle sucking the spirit into it like a powerful vortex. Once they are in it you will close the salt circle and you will pop the cork in and seal it with wax. While sealing it you may ask the power of tobacco or your divinity to place a powerful seal upon it. You may want to draw one on it yourself even. After this has been done you will need to keep the jar surrounded by sea salt until you can transport the jar far away to a beach, River, or canal you don’t intend to visit for an entire year. Once you can take it there make sure it is covered so it can’t see where it is going and that you bring an offering that is safe for the environment to the water spirit you will be asking to guard and keep the hungry spirit.

I used milk last time for mine and saw small fish come up and start eating it safely. After you give the offering you will gently toss the bottle into the water. (It may break one day so it is important not to put toxic things in it or use plastic so nature can break down the glass safely. After you toss the offering you must leave without looking back. While driving or walking home you must also take a different path than the one you took there because you don’t want it to be able to follow you home. The final safety measure you can take is if you would like, you can make a decoy jar/bottle for yourself. 🦇✨

First thing I thought of reading the OPs post was the lyrics to Great Gig in the Sky by Pink Floyd:

"I am not frightened of dying, you know
Any time will do, I don't mind
Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime

I never said I was frightened of dying."

Another thing I was thinking of; Why is dying such a bad thing? I mean everyone is so afraid of it. Why? Besides the obvious fear of a long, painful death part, the whole idea is something that man has been taught to fear. Maybe its cool. Ever think of that?

I mean demons were supposed to be evil and horrible, smoking pot was supposed to ruin your whole life, listening to heavy metal super loud was supposed to ruin your hearing, acid rain was gonna ruin the earth, I could go on about shit they told us that was bad that turned out to be silly. What the fuck do they know anyway? lol

I've felt this before. A strong, overwhelming sense that I would certainly die very soon.

The first time, it was because the side effects of the anti-malarial drugs I was on included: severe anxiety, depression, paranoia, hallucinations, confusion, unusual behavior, thoughts about suicide... (pasted from online, many lawsuits have substantiated these).

Second time was years later, and not a chemical issue, but seemed more like something wanted me to feel fear. Something wanted to feed from my negative emotions and manipulate me and make me act in a way that put me in a spiral that fed it and consumed me. Once recognized, can be resisted.

All of us are no more than 3 minutes from death all the time anyway - choking on a candy or a shrimp or an unknown allergy closing one's throat. Every moment is precious and time to learn and experience and grow. Take every moment you have to be out in the world, experiencing sunshine and wind and smells.

I'm a big believer in tackling multiple levels of our existence at once. They interpenetrate and have synergistic effects

First, do seek therapy! This is a very important level and often overlooked. Much of what gets played out in the spiritual worlds starts here.

Then after, or during professional help, also do the work at the Chthonic -Sublunar level per Helena Hex's advice.

At this level, if you are open to this type of work I would also recommend a 7 Day Uncrossing Bath. In this context, skull candles would work on the ancestral / karmic level. A white skull candle one would be appropriate. Some rose petals for self-love, may also be a very fine addition.

For more on the mental-to-emotional connection, may I also recommend Mitch Horowitz's program here. Just do the work until you are calm and have control over your imagination . Learning to be clam and centered, so you are no longer using your imagination to imagine the worst for yourself and others, or of the world, you are removing hooks in The Imaginal / The Spirit World that gets the attention of these diablos and muertos.

Avoid anger and other negative emotions also. This also 'attracts' them. ( Or creates them, as it thought of in a more modern frameworks, but whatever. Same deal. )

For Spiritual / Above the Moon level, there are many things to do. But too big a topic and I leave that to your personal spirituality and it's spirit allies.

I'm not depressed. Even if I could afford a therapist, they probably wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I've already seen a doctor.

It's too windy outside to do any rituals outside, and even then I don't know where I'd get something like dragon's blood...

Also, drawing blood? Unless I misread, I saw something about blood on rose petals... blood type stuff is kinda weird to me.

Shit, man, sorry you are having a hard time right now.

Without knowing you it's hard to say. Without thinking about it, what's your first thought the issue might be?

Yeah, adding on all this sorcery stuff can just seem like more tasks to do. Best we can all do here, us talky ghosts on an internet forum , without better info, is spitball and make general recommendations from our own backgrounds.

Dragons blood is a resin from a Dracaena tree that bleeds dark red sap. It’s in most stores that sell incense. You could of course skip the blood if it makes you uncomfortable, however, you don’t have to do anything I discussed. I was merely sharing how I dealt with a hungry spirit in case you wanted to try something like that as well. I do hope you find a solution that works for you or that the feeling of death coming ceases for you. Perhaps you are simply at a point where a spiritual death and rebirth are approaching. 🦇✨
