I am creating my very first Servitor and I wanted to know are there any tips I can use to enhance the effectiveness of my Servitor; I even heard some practitioners would imbue their Servitor with the elements like air or water.

The purpose for my servitor is too able to block, channel, and drain energy from others and transmute it into my own liking. I have just begun the visualization period after recording all statistics but what can I do in this time to increase the effectiveness of its purpose.

Also, on making the appearance for the servitor is there any preference or anyway a certain appearance can affect its purpose?

I'd suggest looking at this book: Chaos Servitors. It's a good general guide to servitors.
Also, on making the appearance for the servitor is there any preference or anyway a certain appearance can affect its purpose?
Yes there is a link between appearance and purpose - the appearance should in some way reflect what it is for and how it is expected to do it - does it need eyes to see with, does it need hands/tentacles to grab things, does it need a shell, wings, claws, teeth, etc...
Beyond this, it is largely a matter of personal taste, and your skill at arts & crafts if you're making a material base for the servitor.
