Just added new book to my shopping list. my trick is that when I leisurely crawl the online shops, I don't buy anything right away. I put it on a list. In my browser I have a folder for the links for shopping. Few times a year, when the stuff in the list is there for at least a moth, I buy it, because then I'm sure I at least really want it. Good practice of patience, also helps me to plan when to buy stuff so that I can afford it, also to let me think if the thing is even worth the money or even worth buying.

Modern age wants us to buy as much as we can so what are your tricks to remain in moderation and balance with your budget?

I don't have a TV and use adblocker on my devices so I get practically no ads and thus don't know about all the useless garbage I'm missing out on 😅
But once in a while I feel I "need" to treat myself to something. Scrolling the usual webshops then is more frustrating than fun to be honest. Some weeks ago, after literally hours of clicking I bought a new grimoire, and when it finally arrived I already hated it.
So maybe a trick is to once in a while buy something that you regret, so that next time you'll think twice 😉

Hell yeah, AdBlock is a must have for anyone online. That is why I don't use apps for specific stores and sites but rather use web browser with AdBlock and other protective stuff.

But I agree, sometimes when I want something specific, then to find it in webstores can be huge pain.
