[Tutorial] Simple breathing exercises.

Informative post.
Some simple breathing exercises before more entailed Breath Work (it also feels good to do before “regular” meditation. Whatever may be regular for you)
  1. Take a slow deep breath, take in as much air as you can through your nose and exhale slowly all the way till you feel like your lungs are completely empty. A) breath normal put your hands over your neck like you’re gunna choke a mf’er 😃 or do the international choking song if you prefer to word it that way, but nonetheless move your hands down so your thumbs are on your collarbone and then move your hands slightly forward some (when you stretch your neck up and to the left or up and to the right you’ll feel a big muscle in your neck with your thumb, you want your thumb right behind it on your collar bone/neck area, don’t apply pressure, this is just a guide to help you feel the muscles stretch. The hand position isn’t crucial but it can help some, no worries if you can’t find the spot 🤷‍♂️ Stretch your neck slowly yet firmly left, right, forward, up, back and down, (no particular order) do this for about 45 seconds to a minute.
  2. Take in another long, deep breath through the nose but this time take one more quick breath in as soon as you feel like you can’t inhale anymore. slowly exhale through the mouth.
  3. Repeat the first 2 breaths, and then do the first one, one more time then move to number 4-
  4. breathe in once more very deep and let out the guttural sounds of “A” (As in the sigh of relief, ahh) “O” (as in the sound it makes in the word boo) and finish with “M” (mmm) till all air is gone.
  5. One more cleansing breath. (first breath)
You can alternate between 1 and 2 as many times as you’d like for step 3, you can Skip part 1A for all parts except for the initial first breath you take unless you just feel like doing it 🤷‍♂️ What part A does is stretch out the muscles in your neck and you may have noticed the second breath felt a lot better breathing in after stretching your neck, if you have bad posture then this is especially helpful.

This part is completely optional but wow. 🤯
There is a pressure point you can press, if you put your hand out, palm side up and cup your other hand under your wrist you’ll want to use the thumb of the hand you have cupped under your wrist and feel between your palm and thumb of the hand you have on top pressing down, eventually you’ll feel a pressure point, (its kind of near where the big line/crease is if you leave your hand open but point your thumb upwards. Relax your thumb and try in that general area if you’re having problems) it’s not comfortable but press hard for 1 minute, then do the other hand. (Next time you have a stuffy nose, remember and try this… one minute each side.)
