I like simple food, complex food goes against nature. This soup will fill and delight you, guaranteed.

Boil udon noodles in drinking water, add soy sauce, gochujang, tofu chunks, mushrooms, sesame oil. Once its in the bowl, add sliced leeks and sesame seeds to rest on the surface. Throw in a boiled egg if you're hungry.

You're welcome.

My variation is Chinese instant noodles with chicken hot dogs added plus half a dozen cloves of raw garlic. Maybe wasabi if I'm feeling like danger.

I think Wasabi has too much of a conflicting flavor, way too much yang. Sriracha would work if you want to make this soup a kind of penance for past sins.

And when I'm hungry, I do throw in a sheet of instant noodles in, it makes the Udon noodles more special with inferior noodles sharing the bowl.

Sriracha is first rate stuff and "worthy by all men's mouths to be received," as the Book of Common Palaver says. Wasabi, I allow, is gastronomic S&M.

I like adding white rice into almost all my soups, just to make them more filling. Substituting the tofu with white rice might be fire 🔥
