It's not sharing. If it is a currently published book under copyright, it is theft.
People generally do not understand the ridiculous level of effort needed to create and publish works of this kind.
My book is the third on the topic published in 800 years. The others being the Sephir Yitzarah and Bardon's third book.
Intellectual property theft costs me thousands of dollars per month.
And yet strangely people still want others to excel at all this stuff.
How exactly am I to afford to practice all day long and be good at this kind of thing without a way to pay for it?
Nothing comes for free. Be it in time, dollars or lost opportunities.
Feel free to read the manifesto here:
Earlier this year, I received WF's first DMCA takedown notice (I only noticed it today) on a copyrighted material shared in Book Shares . To be completely frank, I wasn't expecting attention this early in WF's new timeline. About a months into the new WF's book shares section launching, I saw...
wizardforums.com
And remember that you're not losing money if someone who wasn't going to purchase your book pirates it.
You've been a member here for weeks now, you've surely come across the book shares section, and you know that we share books here. If that deeply offends you then I'm sorry, but this request will remain open, and while I won't be fulfilling it myself, anyone here is free to fulfill this request and share this book.
This isn't a book discussion thread... no one is here to discuss the content or ask you about your book. It's a request thread to have this book shared in the book shares section.
I'm still undecided about completely disallowing books published by WF members to be shared here. There are some members, like Yazata, who have contributed greatly to this forum, and have earned the respect of WF members that we do not share his book here (not that anyone has tried). If you feel like you can contribute more to this forum if your books were not shared here, then send me a PM, and I will discuss it with the other staff. These types of decisions will not apply retroactively, as I simply can't allow any author to just appear here, sign up, make a few posts, and then demand their shared books be removed.
Thanks.
