Good day,Been into metaphysics/occult research for a while now, early this year I went through a traumatic event which led me to smoking for the nerves. I have conquered the event but guess what,I still smoke. Honestly,I don't feel like its difficult to stop it,If I really WILL to stop it,I know many occult ways to stop it however it led me to ask a question. What Spiritual impact does smoking have on the spirit. I heard people say it affects your aura however, in my industry, the most successful Traders I know smoke cigerrates. I believe for me to really want to stop smoking,I need to know the occultic reason why its bad for me. Thank you

I have noticed smoking being really bad for the senses. Back in the day I liked to smoke, then I was doing meditations and felt how the senses went worse and worse over time. Like really bad. It was messing with the aura too, yes.

Smoking had some benefits though, totally relaxing the mind, an extreme bonus for staying focused and motivated. I did some crazy things while overloaded from nicotine. I can recall spending entire weeks spamming mantras in a supreme focused mode.

Ended up quitting smoking by getting vape and nicotine pouches. Health went better right away but both of those messed with the senses too. Kept using them for years on and off. Now I smoke maybe once or twice a year, some cigars.

spirits love tobacco but the quality of tobacco matters if your smoking normal store bought packs of ciggs they are bad if you smoking rollies with 100% natural tobacco not so bad

hmmm...senses and aura o_O ....well that seems like a problem,is it possible for the act of ciggerates to attract negative spirits which may find it easier to access you because of the holes in your aura field?

I had strange holes in the aura, I could feel something leaking, energies not standing still. This had something to do with the excessive practicing too. I kept trying to get the 3rd eye going, wanted sharper senses, worked beyond my limits. Bad mix of too many practices at once and too much smoking. Smoking which messed with the senses, motivated but distorted too much.

Smoking caused a lot of issues.
Snus and pouches eliminated many of the issues but not perfect either. Also reworked the practices, better approach.

Tobacco has been an essential component of spiritual traditions in the Americas since ancient Peru. That in mind, I'd suspect it is more dangerous to your body than your spirit.

The addictive properties of tobacco ensure its cultivation. If it weren't addictive, it would still be an insignificant weed growing in the Andes. But it is useful in the absence of modern medicine, so it's good that people kept it on hand and developed a special role for the people who use it.

Your body needs nicotinic acid, but it's toxic, so your body stops producing it when you start smoking. That keeps you from overdosing your own body. When you stop smoking, your body won't start producing it again for quite some time, giving you cravings for it. Instead of tobacco, drink milk. The lactic acid will convert to nicotinic acid and reduce your cravings.

Tobacco will not leap into your mouth on its own. You might want it, you might go nuts thinking you need it, but it will not hurt you at all to refuse it. If you decide to quit, quit. You will still crave it, but you are in control over what you buy and what you put in your mouth.

I can tell just based on my own personal experiences
I used to smoke from very early age like around 15? From time to time and smoking factory cigars with toxic additives
Around 2019 ish I smoked some home grown organic tobacco that back in the days my brother were planting various other plants like in a small place like a little greenhouse at home
After I smoked that I could feel like it changed my perception like weed or something like that and it activated some gifts too
Both experiences are exact opposite to each other
The factory cigars was making me dull and robotic
But on the organic ones I was experience something shamanic spiritual as it's already mentioned like native Americans
I could feel it's spirit , there Is a tobacco spirit that can guide you by your higher self

There's So Much Toxic Shit introduced into commercial tobacco products that they'll not only dull your senses, the Carcinogens will Kill You!
That's why they were forced to put Warnings on the products! If you ever get an opportunity to watch the movie "Barbarians at the Gates" please do so, it's an eye Opener! Organic Natural Tobacco though, yeah, Shamanic cultures know what's up with That! 🤘

Excellent points! Tobacco is not only Naturally Addictive, American companies have increased the concentration so much that somewhere quite
a while back I remember it being referred as "More Addictive than Cocaine!". The movie "Barbarians at the Gate" depicts how one company's Marketing, Research and Mfg. departments all conspire to do this, all Behind the CEO's back! Great Movie!
It's also (loosely) based on the actual story of the Hostile Takeover of a Well Know company, stars James Garner as the CEO, a "Good" guy!

It's hard to find, but one of the best books on practical magic done with tobacco is called "Run Toward the Nightland" by Kirkpatrick. Written about 100 years ago, it explores the traditions and beliefs regarding magical use of tobacco among the Oklahoma Cherokee. Some of these are reprinted elsewhere, like the spell "to catch a big fish" in Paulsen's book on witchcraft, but most of it is nowhere else. It is written as anthropology, but is explicit about the details of their practices and covers a lot of territory. Most highly recommended.

You might consider making a book request for the WF library.

It’s the addiction that can be problematic for your practice and any type of deteriorating health caused by it. But I’ve used tobacco in my practice and have casually smoked a pipe for years with no issues in my practice.

lol, update:I've stopped smoking,When Amadeus said it messes with my senses and aura....which I really need for trading, especially in being intune with my emotions. It's seems better to let it go.I don't really crave it, guess its the meditations and spiritual work dealing with negative entities however...I won't lie,my energy levels are really low today for some weird reason.

I do not really want it to be true but I highly suspect tabacco does indeed mess with you in a spiritual way.

I am a longterm smoker myself. I do try to dial down with it a lot though. And I noticed, on days I was not able to smoke and went "cold turkey" for a few hours I noticed how perception changed.

Not smell, taste or similar. But rather my perception of the world. I felt more mellow. I felt Happier. I started to feel my surroundings better. Like the impression of fog hanging in a field felt more pleasant, more unique I could feel this better and more. As a child (that didn't smoked) I had this more intense.

I don't know where or how to place this. But it's not withdrawal symptoms. As they are different. And to me it felt more as if I craved the natural breaks smoking a cigarette goes with, rather than nicotine itself. Like that going outside, leaning against the wall and just sucking on the cigarette. Whenever I'm in a flow state I do not need to or want to smoke. And often "forget" to smoke when I'm working on something.

This makes me wonder if nicotine has the ability to kind of dampen or even prevent certain flowstates because of whatever reaction but also the habit of dropping everything, getting up and going outside to smoke. Or taking dedicated time away to smoke (thankfully I never smoked inside my flat or whatever).

I do try to quit, it's just a bit too much right now if I also add this now to everything. But once I've quitted, got over the initial withdrawal symptoms I can tell for certain what it changes and messes with.

Perhaps if you smoke once a week or only to really special occasions, like the aforementioned Peruvians do, then it could enhance something. But you would be naive to think you could only smoke once a week and not slope into smoking more.

lol,as i said...delt with it,I noticed when I started smoking more...I was less interested in meditations. I had the get up and slaughter the day mentality without any spiritual work being utilized. I guess I need to start working on breath work to shift the polarity of the act into something positive.
