I just wanted to review this book so you dont have to spend $40.

The book uses a very large font size and is only 130 pages long. i almost shared it but just have a bad feeling and bad divination regarding its sharing so I chose not to do so and will break down the contents here.

The book give very basic instructions on perceiving spirits.

It then has you make a small picture as a shrine which you kneel before with some candles.

you then do misogi purification as one normaly does in shinto practice. One then performs the same shinto etiquette one does towards a shrine in their own home and then visualizes the Yokai.

In practice this is not any different from normal Shinto worship using the Kamidana, but instead of using a Kamidana a picture of the Yokai is used instead.

The book then has examples for about 10 Yokai or so.

There, lol, you just saved $40. In my opinion I was kind of mad with how much a small chapbook was sold to me for $40 teaching Shinto basics pointed toward Yokai.

The pictures inside were kind of cool though, but imo way overpriced.

I just checked, and it looks like all the pictures in this book are from Toriyama Sekien's art books
