A collection of poems, essays, rituals, recipes, meditations and works of art in honor of the many Gods and Goddesses of the Near and Middle East.

From the Introduction:

This anthology is an eclectic dish made of many ingredients: poetic odes to the deities, devotional activities, articles, prayers, and art. In collecting this anthology, I have tried to give voice to a myriad of ancient cultures and modern ways that for too long were forgotten, overlooked, or simply unknown. With that goal in mind, I’ve steered away from Greece, Egypt, and Rome since there is already a great deal of devotional material on these three grand cultures. Instead, included here are devotional pieces rooted in the cultures of the Hittites, Hurrians, Canaanites, Babylonians, Sumerians, Assyrians, Nabateans, Persians, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Israelites, and Phrygians.
