RE: Square of Venus Attraction Spell: A Bottle of Honey and A Piece of Cardboard
SUBTOPIC: Magic of Numbers
⁜→ et al,

VVhen examining the solution to observations of activities of nature and reality, it lS often, though NOT always, possible to draw a direct line of thought between annotations in science and models made in descriptive mathematics of the same events.

Of course you don't want to step on the place where the square is and best way to diffuse/deactivate this is by pouring salt water/sea water on the spot and washing it away. Put yourself in the "point" in the middle of the circle where the spirits will be able to bring the people around you, if you isolate yourself from people then there would be nothing to tug and shoot at.

(COMMENT)

THAT THE GREATER NUMBER OF MAGICAL BOOKS
ARE FALSE AND VAIN. (1458)

...................................................--- Abramelin the Mage

No matter how artfully rooted or craftily constructed numbers are just that: numbers. And mathematics is an invention of man that is conveniently used by man to "describe reality." The numbers and the mathematics do not create or alter reality in any way. If man had not invented numbers or mathematics, the absence would not alter the universe in any way. It would only impact man's knowledge.

The language, mathematics → in this case, has meaning to only those that understand it. The nature of gravity is the same for those who understand Newton's description (and Einstein's relativity) as for those who do not have the same level of understanding.

I moved this from the Venus Square thread. Feel free to discuss your opinions on numbers in Magick here.
