I'd like to see Stephen J. Clark's, "The Satyr." A novel, I hear, about Austin Spare.

Based on what I could search, the novel isn't based on his life, but it is "inspired by it and by his ethos as a sorcerer".
SJC: Spare is described as appearing only briefly in The Satyr, however he informs the whole novella.
And, as this is a novel, it is considered a book for pleasure rather than for learning. So the request will be denied.

One doesn't learn from novels? A well-written novel can generate a powerful ethos. This reminds me of stodgy academics who used to haunt the halls of the philosophy department hissing behind each other's backs, "What Professor X teaches isn't REAL philosophy."
