The Void and Transmutation

For someone who has professed a monotheistic religion, grounded in the unquestioning belief in a single divine authority that governs the universe with a firm hand, what I will set forth here will not seem strange. There exist internal cycles and periods within a person that resonate in unison with the myths of universal creation. I find it pertinent to trace these references, for they constitute the very chronicle of creation and transmutation; because, as above, so below. I begin:

· In the beginning, there was darkness: Blind faith creates a spiritual darkness, as it extinguishes the magical instincts, the pursuit of truth, and personal evolution. Everything becomes subordinated to obedience to another, be it the Church or sacred texts written by other hands. This state, however, carries a placidity similar to that of a baby gestating in the mother's womb: there is no conflict or discord; others protect you by deciding for you.

· Let there be light: Then erupts the black transmutating flame: the divine spark, Prometheus's torch, the morning star. It pierces your consciousness and illuminates your understanding. It is the moment when a person, amidst existential emptiness, becomes aware of their own divinity. It is the Big Bang of consciousness, the explosion that creates and illuminates matter, revealing an internal universe plunged into chaos. Here, the individual panics; what was once protection is now confusion. They feel lost, like a newborn gazing for the first time upon a world they are not prepared for. This stage can lead to anxiety and depression, and many choose to return to the protective womb, to their previous comfort zone.

· The Creation: If the person manages to transcend the chaos and perseveres in the search for truth, matter begins to order itself. Their illumination germinates, separating the wheat from the chaff. This stage is represented by Tiamat and her kingdom of lizards that inhabited the waters. The lizard is the person themselves, beginning to acquire knowledge, with these lizards and serpents symbolizing wisdom—an archetype strengthened by the primordial waters and oceans.

· The Physical Creation of Heaven and Earth: This phase is symbolized by Marduk destroying Tiamat and creating from her body the heavens and the earth. The person emerges from these waters, just as reptiles did in their evolution, developing limbs to move autonomously through a world once unexplored. It is here that duality and its transmutation arise. The earth represents the tangible, the pleasures of the flesh, the material. The sky, the intangible, the spiritual, consciousness. Humankind emerges into a dual world where it must find a balance between both poles. Many religions despise one, creating imbalance; other schools of thought, particularly in occult circles, scorn the other, abandoning themselves to the pleasures of the flesh.

· The Eden: The mission of the individual here is to rediscover the black transmutating flame to achieve apotheosis and transcend both worlds, the physical and the spiritual. This is represented in the Garden of Eden, where we encounter the serpent once more, reminding us, now within the physical world, of the imperative need for knowledge and transcendence.

I do not wish to elaborate further. I believe this reflection provides ample material for thought as it stands and will provoke contemplation in those who read it and need it.
