Hello everyone, I recently started on my journey and Manly P Hall keeps popping up. Are his works a good starting point for getting into the occult? If you have come across his works what are some of your thoughts? I'd like to know from your own point of view, what do you think of him and so on

Well... His books are somewhat fine. Not great, but better than most of the books you can find wirtten in XX-XXI centuries. I am not sure you can get anything practical out of it though. Some of his statements are kind of misleading, so always read with a grain of salt (but that also applies basically to any book).

His books are good for getting a general picture of the occult, but there is nothing practical in them. Nevertheless, I read them with pleasure.

MPH Is a great teacher. All of his works are filled with much practical wisdom, and philosophies. Most are well worth reading/listening.

For a beginner (or anyone really), His Book "Words to the Wise" is an incredible intro to the great works, and gives practical advice to any practitioner.
