[Help] tips or a suggestions for beginner

hey guys do you have any tips or starting recommendation (books, authors, etc) for somone who is getting started. im mostly interested in LHP/personal power/knowledge. also is there any thing (ritual, prayer, etc) that you know of or have done to, lets say increase the facilities/encounter/synchronicity or whatever that can push you deeper to know more and find more LEGIT info. any help would be appreciated.

This is something that I posted as a reply to msomone earlier so I am just going to copy/paste to you to!

Initiation to Hermetics" by Franz Bardon. Learning the elements will lay a good foundation regardless of any path that you may take.There is a positive and negative to each one. Analogies help in understanding a broader picture.

• Fire- energy, purification, strength, will and desire, hot, dry
• Water- feeling, love, cleansing, cold, wet
• Air- Fuels fire, intellect, balance
• Earth-Foundation, what all elements together create however is its own element, stability, body
• The Zodiac signs all have one of the four elements assigned to them. The goal of many is to have all aspects in balance, or to have the ability to manipulate them to achieve what you desire.
  Definitely look into protection and warding. Some easily obtainable items include salt, water, empty batteries, sage (real sage), hematite, and obsidian. Books on Magical Ingredients can set ya on. good way (plus ingredients have a corresponding element)
  Any deities, gods, goddesses that you have an interest in? Read up on the ones that you have an affinity for.
  Look up apothecaries and metaphysical stores in your area. Many of these stores hold classes and/or have like minded people. Even if you start out by meeting some Pumpkin spice drinking witches that smell like patchouli they still can help you get going! Do not point fingers on accident or anything when around magic folk it makes people nervous lol. Harry Potters universe is basically real lol. Stay away from the dark stuff at first, and also do not let anyone take advantage of you. Follow your heart, grab some books, start a journal, write things down. Im always willing to help get new folks going, I do not know how the messaging system on this site works however I will be doing what I can to enable that. I'm of no specific walk however I have been practicing for over a decade and come from a very eclectic family. Hope that this helps! In one of the chapters Lon Milo Duquette explains the formula underneath working with the spirits of the Goetia and he tells a little bit about how they change the life of a practitioner. In general, I think it is a good book to start with if one is a 'beginner'on the magic path. I did put the word beginner between apostrophs. Some beginners are actually more experienced and talented than they know and some who studied the occult, are still getting nowhere.

What are the things you practice already, how did you build already synchronicity in your life? How do you already find connections? Can you tell us a little bit about that? For us it is more easy then to provide you with information in the form of threads that are already here on WF..... I would for sure look to the occult tutorial part of the forum, which contains a lot of very interesting information. People get stuck often in the Library, but the occult tutorials are a very good place to start with! For working with the elements, I have a 6 week procedure that is a good starting point to 'build' that part of your magical space and universe.

thanks for the reply everyone. in summary i have been intrested for a long time now and around 1-2 years ago i was reading around and trying to start my journey, i was reading many things (RHP/LHP, draconian, chaos, angelc etc.) and i loved it but i kept coming around concepts or people/authors that would say things like "me is the best, my way true, others suck". in short, limiting statements and to me the whole point is to not be limited and break the limits, broaden views and see and exprience more. this made me get cold feet and i just stopped for a while now i want to start from the very fundamentals again and give it another try and maybe just try to pass over the bs. thats why i asked what would you recoomend to starters.

Ough, that is not really helpful indeed. Every occultist is in the first place a human and humans differ so much from each other, that there is no best true way.... just test and try. Test if it is working for you and if you can connect and allow yourself to be creative. There is always a way and it is your way!
