My why -

Practicing as a mystic, animist, chaote, trad grimoirist/Solomonic magician, ceremonial magician, sorcerer/lower magick practitioner, etc… there is one particular goal I haven’t achieved (or been able to do more then scratch the surface of tbh) and one particular experience of mine I’m still trying to understand. And I’ve now been practicing for most of my life and I’m in my mid 40s.

Why these angels and this type of practice -

I’ve been able to make a lot of different types/styles of magic work over the years to at least a decent degree. But working with these angels just hits differently. Once I started having success with it then came the visions, encounters, and guidance that led to a complete rework of how I do and think about magic. I’ve had similar results elsewhere but this is on a different level. And I’m starting to scratch that surface and better understand that experience.

Where I am now -

Essentially my personal magic is based around a religion (if you will), a specific set of angels, and specific rituals. And then I piece in parts of other techniques/styles of magic (sigils, servitors, familiars, ceremonies, lower magic rituals/spells, pentacles, conjuring, etc…) I learned along the way.

So basically one particular result I seek and one particular experience I want to understand is why I do this. Everything else (other knowledge, material success, experiences, etc…) is just the icing/gravy/fireworks.

My advice -

Grab whatever interests you and run with it for awhile. That will lead to something else, then rinse and repeat over and over again. Trying to only copy someone else’s results for your entire life is a fool’s game (but so is spending a lifetime just trying to reinvent the wheel from scratch) and will only get you so far and in the end you’ll end up being a cheaper carbon copy of whoever you picked to imitate. Question everything and allow yourself to find out you were wrong. That’s called growth. Without it you quickly become a self-deceiving zealot who spends your time and energy as an apologist.

One of the problems with magic is anyone who can do half-ass magic can create a system where you get results. They then claim to have invented something new/ancient and their proof is the results. Truth is when you can do magic you can get results with almost any type of bs second rate system. Not all results are equal and what’s worse is its hard to compare apples to apples when talking about magic with others.

What can magic do -

Just about anything is potentially possible. Unfortunately the bigger the feat, the bigger the inertia/opposition you have to overcome to make it happen. Anyone who tells you their system is super easy but can achieve the same or better results is full of shit every time. Anyone who tells you that magic can’t achieve true miracles is just naive.

(Disclaimer I am not saying forgo medical help. Be a magician not a moron.)

One example -

I’ve seen cancer just disappear without treatment on a kid who had shitty odds of surviving and almost no chance of doing it without both additional amputations and treatments that he was not recovering well from. Long story short everything had to be halted to let him get strong enough to continue the treatments, then a shortage of materials pushed it back months further. It was in this in between time I got involved. When the doctors ran the tests before restarting the treatment the cancer had disappeared.

This isn’t to say don’t seek medical help. This isn’t to inflate my own ego. Honestly I probably won’t be back much after sharing this much. This is simply to give an example of what is possible. And I’ve had similar success in other areas as well. And I’m nothing special. I’m not particularly disciplined over long periods of time. I’m just some dude who has been pushing the boundaries for a couple of decades. It’s hard to get magic going initially and you will hit rough/dry patches, walls, obstacles of any and every type along the way. The secret is when the immovable object gets hit by an unrelenting force/will, the force/will eventually wins. Every single time. As long as you don’t quite.

(If this is against forum rules please remove.)

Take care of yourselves. And NEVER stop pushing those boundaries.

Thus the overwhelming number of potential ways to learn magic and the vast array of books written about them.
