Hello,

If you are interested in the Hygromanteia or Byzantine magic, you will eventually stumble upon this book in a bibliography, but definitely not in person. It's hard to find; the only time I read it was by borrowing it mail-order from a library while living in Germany. However, I'm unable to find it at the moment.
  • Title: Traditions of Belief in Late Byzantine Demonology
  • Author: Richard P.H. Greenfield
  • Publisher: Adolf M. Hakkert
  • Publication Year: 1988
  • ISBN: 9025609627 / 9789025609627
  • Format: Hardcover
  • Pages: lxxxvi (86 pages of introductory material), 369 pages of main content
  • Dimensions: Approximately 24 cm in height
  • Language: English
  • Subjects: Demonology, Exorcism, Devil, Orthodox Eastern Church, Medieval Studies, Byzantine Empire
  • Library Catalog Reference: OCLC Number 22634644
If anyone has this book or is interested in borrowing it from a library, I think the community would benefit from a digital copy for posterity, since it's out of print and getting harder to find.

Thanks,
S
