Came here after watching Ivy Corvus' video on the subject :
A paracosm/world building has the same dynamic as an inner temple. Some people think inner temples are in fact paracosm with a magickal goal (and not necessary escapism)
The idea is to create a world that will put you in a mood for magick or with the goal to influence reality.
More traditional magick systems use the planetary spheres and the elements to connect to certain atmospheres and moods.
Instead of "vibing with Mars", a magickian can totally create his own world/room that is linked to the idea of Mars/war/sport but with its own association.
By doing this, the magickian (in theory) gets to know those associations and manage to channel them.
Ivy gives the example of "peace room", "self love room" etc....
