[Opinion] Vampire's place in the world

Working on my vampirism makes me think about things. One of them is where the Vampire fits in the world. So here are some thoughts.

Vampire is a predator. Predators are completely natural part of nature and part of powers of balance in the world. I think I've heard it in Hinduism study that there are creative, preserving and destructive power. Together they keep the world in balance. Suggests that being a Vampire is not itself a problem. Also suggest that overusing his powers can actually be a problem the world will have to deal with to regain its balance.

Power of death, like a Vampire is necessary for new beginning, for rebirth. Can be unpleasant as much as refreshing, depending on how one faces it. Perhaps that is why it feels so different to be drained for willing donor and a unwilling prey. With irony even unwilling one can get profit from it, when it serves him for good. How to judge that I don't know that... at least not yet. Might never have. Who knows...

If you search for various articles online they will confirm you that vampires are immortal, in other words have eternal life.
But vampires can also be killed which ends their existence.

So an unwilling victim of a vampire will be grateful to him afterwards upon discovery they become immortal.

True. That is what is being said. Lore says a lot and there is huge variety of lore. Both made up fantasy as well as among occultists. Not in every vampiric lore a victim becomes vampire after a bite. Nor does everyone appreciate such existence.

I've read somewhere, don't recall where, that the orthodox clergy wrote documents about vampires as it was experienced by local population then, somewhere in eastern Europe (which is where the lore starts).

Those documents are however not publicly available to my knowledge

Not in every vampiric lore a victim becomes vampire after a bite. Nor does everyone appreciate such existence.

There's a lot of made up claims and also many vampiric groups exist that breath new views into vampirism, this variety of views makes me suspicious about their validity.

There certainly are historical documents. I have somewhere a book that includes some historical tales from around Europe, quite a mixture of vamps, common undead and werewolves, they weren't so sorted as in late history after Stocker.

Looking for them might be a challenge, probably one must know latin or know where to look for those texts.

When it comes to real undead vampires, here is my theory:
When person dies and soul disconnects from the physical body, hugr, also called astral body (or is it mental body?) dissolves. However sometimes it can happen like with drug addicts, that this hugr gets overruled by the addiction and starts seeking energy to survive. this quasi alive being is dead yet alive, it doesn't have a soul, and even if seen by some sensible person, cannot be seen in mirror. Destroying it is good thing to do, as it is decaying hugr with barely intuitive desire to live overfilled with negativity of addiction (or other cause) parakiting on the living as it cannot gain it's life energy normal way, not having body or soul of it's own anymore.

Not to ruin this, but if you can tap into infinite energies, why mess around with vampirism at all?

Vamprisim relating to energies as in sucking someones energy (or donating it) is just one of many theories about vampires, it is referred to as energy vampires/ism.

However there are other theories that are unrelated to energies, e.g. there are vampire groups that center around spiritual aspect.
Problem is telling which one is about real vampires since most of them claim to be true.

Having knowledge about these groups and having your own research done into subject adds to your insight overall and knowledge is not a bad thing even if you don't practice it, it may used for defensive purposes or solely to show your knowledge is wide spread.

i think for the individual vampire it is most important to transmute the vampire as a sucking negative energy into a healthy energy worker. im not naming the inner workings as feeding etc. cause its up to the individual what it likes to meet in its life and when.

They have their own castles, living lairs are temporary. They can change, but there are their constant coordinates. There, through Google Maps, you can accurately determine where they are in the world... Some of them, which are the most powerful, can actually change their or Other forms through phase shift or sheep shifting Form shift Through special rituals ceremonies And for this you need special energy...

Sounds too good to be true. No offense intended, just being careful. Though I think I can give The Book of Shadow a read and see what is there and if it is worth trying. Might be good.

Lineages... I don't know. I met a man here who mapped mystical places in my own country, then after publishing the book he realized his mistake as suddenly people flocked there ruining those places and forcing the powers living there to go away. I'm just not sure if this is a good thing to write down and share.

Okay, this isn't completely useless book, some of the rites will be useful. though turning one into vampire using possession or merging with demon? No thanks. The sigils in the book make me feel really uneasy for energy containers. Not to be trusted. But some practices of meditations and astral are good.

Maybe if you are able to find a name and date of the documents, they could be available. Tons of historical documents are being digitalized for public access. A decade ago I wouldn't be able to get my hands on digital copy of original scanned book of Magia Posthuma that was printed in 1706. It's in latin, but Google can change that.
