This idea came from @Viktor but I found it really fascinating, so I decided to start a thread.
Vampirism and Gnosticism... wow. Gnosticism says, as far as my poor knowledge goes, that the existence (hate the term matrix) is controlled by a demiurge, an evil god and his followers, who enslave us, keeping us mortal and weak. Vampire on the other hand is immortal and powerful and therefore people are taught to fear them. And it is an enemy to this god, or Christian god. Vampires in legends are even repelled by the symbols and "holy" stuff of Christianity, no longer accepted into this system. Maybe no longer slaves of it?
Vampire's blood is like a venom that gives new life that is unlike human one. The sacrament of blood really is fascinating in this case, counterpart to same ritual in Christianity. (I find it funny how some branches see it like real deal, (respect to them!,) but some only as symbolism and some don't even do that at all) Really worth it asking what kind of life is given by blood of Jesus, doesn't look much good to me honestly, so the alternative sounds far more worth it.
There is even a book on gnostic like approach to vampirism, called Darker Teachings of the Immortals. It tries to instruct on achieving immortality, mentioning an enemy feasting on the death, calling him Brute with the Skythe. Actually worth the read for those interested in this way of understanding Vampirism. The text is mainly Channeled, perhaps the authors broke through the veil and gained knowledge from someone who actually achieved the desired goal? Maybe. It makes sense to learn from someone who actually succeeded.
So... I personally get more and more to like this concept, or angle of Gnosticism connected with Vampirism. What do you people think?
Nice thinking! IMO Gnosticism is very close to anti-christianity, I could agree if somebody says Gnosticism is Vampirism, probably not in full but in good part since Gnosticism reveals parts that reduce Christianity to a human rather than divine invention.
We could speculate so much about this, what we know for sure is that Gnosticism exists for as long as Christianity does, so this has the potential to unlock the origins of Vamprism.

Want to get this out of my system so I'll spill this stuff here, it is related in a way...
I actually got interested in digging a little into Finfal Fantasy VII lore, as it is pretty similar. Mako is a life giving venom filled with memories like Akashic Library, if you are worthy it enhances you, if not, it kills you and it can drive you mad. Being exposed for too long damages and kills everyone in the end. It changed Cloud quite a bit filling him with memories of others. (he is interesting tale of reincarnating, sort of)
Though I got most interested in Sephiroth, Who got surrounded by Abrahamic motives. To get it loosely (leaving some stuff out) He gets Mako infusion and gets alight, figures out his connection with Jenova (probably misspel of Jehova, they altered spelling a lot in the game, possibly intentional) and gives up his humanity, physically dies but survives that as spiritual being, becoming immortal and defeats Jenova in mental battle. Sephiroth feels to be a vampiric being to me. Nicknamed him the Angel of Prey.
