Various methods of Working with Demons

I have been reading up on demons a lot lately and I'm feeling like its something I want to dive into much more deeply.

I've seen people swear by Solomonic styles of magick that use angels to bind or constrain the demon and "force" the demon to do your bidding.
I have also seen people, who consider themselves Demonolaters, swear that using Solomonic circles to constrain them is disrespectful, abusive, etc.
I can see both sides of the argument when people say you should be respectful and work with them more as an equal or when people say that its somewhat dangerous and you should use circles to bind them before working with them.

I've personally not used any ritual with demons yet. I do believe I have met Lucifer though, and there was absolutely no ritual involved and I didn't even call for him, he just showed up at a time when I needed some support and I had absolutely no issues arise from that experience.

I've read a few different books that have differing perspectives on this so I come here to see what everyone here thinks.
I know there's differing opinions on how it should be approached and for the sake of ease of access I think it'd be helpful to have a thread discussing it so its all in one place.

So, my question is, if you work with demons, what style do you use?
Have you used one style and regretted it and moved to a different style, or tried the same style again? If something went "wrong" for you, what was it, and were you able to troubleshoot your issue?
Is there a particular book that you use that's given you good consistent results?

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

i started with the Solomonic style, but I found the demons don't like being confined, and would always get files in abundance after the rituals, but had a working without that old school, traditional method, and never had flies.

I don't like or feel comfortable with trapping the spirit in the brass, and I feel they are not as evil as depicted, so now I'm experimenting with other styles found in a book called guide to Modern Demonolotary by S. Connelly. & Goetia rising and combining these modalities.
the book of Oberon is also a very illuminating grimoire as it is without the Hebrew.

I don't feel comfortable with Hebrew at all. so I prefer to use Latin if possible.

Thank you!
I don't know that I've ever heard of anyone having bad things happen because they didn't constrain them, but I was just curious. I know that a lot of people, regardless of what spirit they're contacting, will use circles and constraints. Was there a specific event that made you switch from the solomonic style or did you just follow your intuition and try it without it one day?
