[Official] WF Downtime

WF was down for several hours within the last 24h. We were targeted by a DDoS attack, and our hosting provider decided to block access to WF entirely.

Unfortunately, the hosting providers actions combined with lack of communication and troubleshooting has severely eroded the relationship between us, and I'll have to look at finding a new hosting provider that would agree to a list of special requirements (primarily regarding the library).

This was the first major outage WF has faced, and I sincerely apologise to all members for the downtime.

Edit: I've migrated to a new host. Please let me know if you notice any performance issues, glitches, or anything else not working as it used to.

I was suspecting an attack when I started having CloudFlare checking my browser if I'm human. (causes me trouble accessing it) It sucks that you need new server after a single attack.

It's fine. This wasn't your fault. In community of occultists only a looser without ability to do magic would pay a hacker to take revenge. The rest of us have other means to do that.

Just a thought... I have other things to do, but if I were in worse mode, I would definitely send a curse or two on the person responsible...

Though, it gave me the idea to save a few of my own reactions in a word document log, just to preserve them. And make more notitions of others I certainly want to reread. There are things I want to preserve for myself.

I would not mourn books, or texts, I would only mourn people I would loose contact with.

If you are up to it, you might consider running server on your own HW... depends on your own IT skills and other stuff of course.
