Ghob, Paralda, and the Undines and Salamanders rulers, forget their names offhand.
People ignore the immediate (nature/physical) world we live in and aim straight for high magic. Maybe I should go and meet and greet Ghob and Paralda.
Elementals are the missing link I think, to a lot of questions. Lets take gold for example, or silver. Who knows the most about that?
Ghob. Veins of gold and silver and all buried things are probably within his knowledge with the fellow Gnomes.
Paralda. One who could have the wind on your back, perhaps how to fly/astral travel. Etc.
They've got to be bored at this point.
