Why do we use unnecessary jargon?

I’ve noticed that practitioners tend to overcomplicate things and use a lot of hard to understand words to express something. I’m curious. Is this a way to show off one’s prowess?

I’m not trying to call anyone out, but sometimes it feels like the wording creates more difficulty than clarity. Would you prefer a forum culture that leans more toward “here’s what I did + what happened” rather than theory heavy descriptions? I’d love to hear different perspectives.

For myself, the jargon comes from the language of the system. In my case, Hebrew. A lot of it. It's baked into Kabbalah, no getting around it.

Sure, you internally translate the terms into English. But, sometimes there's no single word that is direct meaning, use a phrase instead.

Eventually, you think in these terms, which sound like jargon to 'outsiders'. I experienced the 'jargon' frustration especially in lectures and other

live events, you can't just go look things up. But, even then, you eventually 'get' the jargon in your head, and no longer translate it. It IS.
