How do you structure it to get the most out of it, read one at a time, or several at the same time?
Its a no brainer to college or high school students, you just read whats assigned and that's it.
But with the occult, especially several books on the same topic or current, it seems difficult, or just my ADD.

I'm reading several at once. I structure it like this:

1) First I determine BEFORE even reading the book if I'm planning to read the whole thing or just the chapters that interest me. Sometimes this may not be the best course of action as some books are best read completely, but a lot of these modern occult books are rehashes of other older books or just another reinterpretation of an older book so if you have the knowledge base, some chapters can be skipped.

2) I prioritize which books to read based on need or want. Am I doing a ritual on the near future and will this book help? If so I may read that one first. If I'm reading for pure knowledge's sake, then I'll prioritize based on what I'm interested in the most.

3) I don't force myself to read an entire book in a certain time frame. We all have lives. I'll read either a chapter or section (depending on how big the chapters are) of the book a day and if time allows, I'll read more.

Hope this helps you get through some of your books!

Im practically always reading different books at the same time. In a way it helps me see connections in seemingly unrelated topics (or i imagine i do)

True. Even in a primary textbook for the Golden Dawn, several books on side reading are not only encouraged but exhorted.
I have an energy work book, a hoodoo book, a candle magic book, a hermetic magic book, a cabalistic magic book, and an astral travel/projection book open.
All of these as well recommend side reading as well.
So there is no option but to read several at once, no matter whether you take an Adler or some other method in doing so.
