[Opinion] NLP - Neuro-linguistic Programming as a form of secular low magic

Hi, as the title says, I think NLP is a section of low magic that was wrapped in pseudo-scientific psychological-ish paper so it can be sold to businesses and coaches. Anyone has much experience in it? Was it worthwhile? What sources are best for learning this, if any?

Yes - "Magic for salesmen" as it's known. I read "NLP for dummies" and as usual with any psychological-ish stuff, it gets curiously non-specific when it comes to any idea of why it works. I considered writing an article for an NLP magazine, after I saw one of the articles was about 'communicating with angels'.

I thought: if they'll publish that stuff, then I should be a shoe-in

That stuff is a gold mine. I am starting to notice people who used to do magic and now teach NLP or hypnosis to businessmen for crazy amounts of money! Talking about angels in the same magazine... someone is blowing their cover!
