@SkullTraill

The new cloudflare "gate" has really made a major difference in the "numbers game" as I see it. Performance is much better and seems stable too.
Looks like it was the "right thing". Merely my .02 coppers. 🤘

I'm not 100% enthusiast about this gate. especially if it doesn't allow in search engines bots. If they stop seeing the page, they will sooner or later delete it from their lists. (meaning it will disappear from search results)

That was likely taken into consideration. There are allow/deny options available for stuff like this. :cool:

Well, I guess it should be fine as long as I can get in. It's not optimal with Waterfox, (one issue with videos) but workable. Though I fear I won't return to my main browser. I noticed, after short search, that is seems to be common issue here and there that CloudFlare blocks some browsers from getting to the site. Seems to be blocking them almost random. Internet is becoming more and more complicated and user unfriendly place...

Just for the hell of it you might research the "robots.txt" file, and the concept of allowing or denying "bots read crawlers" which may be enlightening? :geek:

The correct terminology is "disallow" as opposed to "deny", I just prefer deny and the sound that a "gavel" makes, kinda final. Sometimes robots don't want to play the game, "Bad Robot!" :ROFLMAO:

Oh... so you are knowledgeable on the topic of web pages. I know what are crawlers, and how robots.txt and .htaccess file works. I wrote my own web in php ages ago. (just generated pages and guestbook styled ritual page with virtual candles for wishes and prayers) I still have it stored, although I disabled the ritual page as I was lazy to recreate the database, when I changed computer last time. (shut the web down, because traffic was dead, while I was still paying for the server, nor worth keeping it online.)

I'm still proud about the picture I used as 404 error page.

Anyway, I took a small dive into CloudFlare to get the picture and security stricter browsers like Avast that I use are simply not welcome, because they refuse to provide some info the CloudFlare uses to check if you are human. So the only solution for me now is to use another browser, at least until this security gate is dropped. I'm, not going to dig deep into browser, checking logs to find out what is causing the problem. Not worth the time. devs of Avast Browser are unlikely to solve this. It would probably go against their safety policy for the browser, which was one of reasons why I started using that browser myself...

"I completely understand your concern. Disappearing from search engine results is indeed a form of 'digital death' for any sanctuary of knowledge. However, let us look at this through the eyes of a seasoned practitioner:

First: Most modern security gateways (such as Cloudflare) utilize 'Verified Bots' lists. They are designed to allow legitimate crawlers like Googlebot to pass through seamlessly while filtering out the malicious bots intended to overwhelm the server. If the configurations are tuned correctly, our SEO will remain unharmed.

Second: Protection is not an end in itself; it is a 'Shield.' Just as we fortify our ritual spaces before invoking entities, we must fortify this temple. The recent outages proved that 'Visibility' without 'Immunity' can lead to total database corruption—at which point, search results would mean nothing.

Third: True Knowledge is sought out by the sincere student. Even if we were to recede slightly from the frontline of search results, the 'Light' we manifest here will draw those who are worthy. That said, technically, the administration can implement Custom Firewall Rules to whitelist specific search engine IPs to ensure we remain visible to the world.

Technical stability is the foundation upon which all wisdom is built.

No, you don't understand. the main issue is that cloudflare thinks my main browser to be a bot, so even if it verifies me as a human, it keeps looping and preventing me from access the site. That is my main problem. Using my backup browser to access single site is pretty annoying. So it's rather my big annoyance, although I do understand that keeping all the fake traffic away is in general good declension, and more and more necessary nowadays when more and more of traffic are going to be AI bots scanning internet endlessly for info for their queries. (although on other hand anyone who uses same browser as me will think the site not working and will never enter despite being "worthy" or not)

Protection works both ways on the internet. Lowering of the trust between people is the same as between computers nowadays. Servers (like wf) need to protect themselves, but so do the clients. (me and you) If the trust is too low, the connection between the two is lost.
