I don't think you'll get many answers, the question has been asked numerous times; it would have been better to include the shamanism angle in the title of your thread so that other members won't go "No, not again!" - I could edit it accordingly if you like.

Is bumping a permitted thing here? As I am also interested in this.

Beginner books for Shamanic path seem to be, rather difficult to find. Most are dealing with other aspects.

Some aspects of Shamanism, I have forged my own path but why isn't there the basic instructions other paths get?

Warned: link to shop
Though it is a dated, old book, in my opinion it is still a good start.
Michael Harner is pretty much the founder of Core Shamanism, which as a system is functional and it does apply to most situations. It works.
Michael Harner's The Way of the Shaman is highly recommended.

Though much of her work is sketchy and culturally bound, I like her writing style and the book on the topic of journeys, Evelyn Rysdyk is decent. I find her work on the subject is a compliment to Harner's with more detail.
Evelyn C. Rysdyk's Spirit Walking is recommended.

When working with triggers, trance and overall aspects of physcial and mental control, Jan Fries is dope.
Highly recommend Jan Fries Seidways is greatly recommended.

Other than this, look towards Core Shamanism materials and their [Mod: removed web shop link].
