My name is Sarsippius, I'm a Chaos Magician who's currently in his undergrad for Psychology at a big name university. I was steeped in symbolism and hermetic ritual from the beginning due to my Mormon upbringing, and my journey into mysticism began by reading Carl Jung's Psychology of the Unconscious about a year ago, and then more recently through Magus or Celestial Intelligencer to learn more about the roots of the faith I once held so close because I had read it was one of the books Joseph Smith used when founding the faith.

From there, I started to practice the magic in the books, using the symbolic exercises to induce trance and active imagination states to work around psycho-spiritual entities (Goetic demons?) and I've been pretty invested in studying occultism alongside depth psychology in an academic sense as a system of individuation and meaning-making.

Great to be here!

Carl Jung is very interesting! I was originally planning to major in psychology because it’s one of my special interests to learn about but then I also had no intention of figuring out what I’d actually use a bachelors psychology major for. Needless to say, I did end up transferring to a community college after my first semester to major my associates of arts in human services and I did complete my certificate in addiction counseling last year.

Do you have a lot of experience with goetic demons? Which ones have you worked with?

That's awesome, I'll be either going for a Master's in marriage and family counseling or a PhD, but I've yet to decide the focus there. I've got my AA and I'm about a year into my upper division coursework for my BA.

The experience I've had with goetic demons is limited and very recent, I only once successfully had a full visual summon on the morning of the 3rd for Amy/Avnas during the recent blood moon. I'd been doing theurgic/angel summoning almost exclusively before that, invoking Raphael, Gabriel, and a personal protector spirit in the same rite as I'd read in Magus as active imagination practice, as well as a few smaller tulpas. I keep a journal of my summons if you'd like to read about any of my experiences lol

It's really interesting understanding spirits as psychological phenomena, because if you're dedicated and know how to induce trance using ritual combined with mild substance use it can be insanely visual.
