Book Discussion Guide to reading the Dead Sea Scrolls?

Hi guys, I recently got a copy of The Complete Dead Sea Scrolls in English translated by Geza Vermes and I was wondering if there's a specific order in which I should read it or any biblical or historical context I should know about and keep in mind to better understand it?

I guess some historical context is that the Dead Sea Scrolls were thought to be made by the Essenes. They were a Jewish group that gave rise in using water in rituals, charity work, and were to strictly follow the rules the Torah. So I guess reading some more about them could help. So reading from the Jewish historian Josephus Flavius and his accounts on them could help get some more historical context.
