I've been wondering on the best way to obtain my own blood for blood magic, I don't practically feel like slicing my hand open if I only need a small amount of blood. What are other ways that I'm obviously missing?

Please, do not slice your hand for blood. You could cause some real damage, especially if you cut your palm, you can damage your hand. There are ways to do this quite safely.

Just a fair warning, many occultists in the past, including Papus, discouraged using blood for rituals as it can attract unwanted attention. I think it was called astral leeches, or something like that.

I use blood frequently in my rituals, the most effective method is to find diabetic one use lances used for pricking ones finger for blood sugar tests. You can easily buy these in bulk and dispose of them afterwards. Blood offerings should never require more than a few drops at a time unless your infusing you blood into incense or ink so this should be more than enough for your needs.

As already stated, use a diabetic lancet. You only need a small amount and this is by far the best method.

And there’s small “pens” that come with diabetic test kits that hold the lancet and prick your finger just enough to get a drop of blood so you don’t have to STAB the lancet into your finger, which can really hurt.

Yeah, use the side of your finger, not the pad where it is much more painful. Plus be careful that you have a good relationship with whichever daemon you are giving blood to, don't just give blood sacrifices out to every daemon, since this can lead to trouble.

1. Get a new lancet

I've been wondering on the best way to obtain my own blood for blood magic, I don't practically feel like slicing my hand open if I only need a small amount of blood. What are other ways that I'm obviously missing?

Get a new lancet, alcohol pad, and clean cotton. Clean your finger with the alcohol pad, then prick it with the lancet. Add a drop or two of blood to your incense or food offering, and use the dry cotton to stop the bleeding.
