what do you all think the best path or idea is for a person who has never partaken in left hand path as a starter?

Best start is to study various paths. Dig through the library and find what resonates with you. After all LHP is path towards individuality. I recommend taking look also at Chaos magic, as that is very individual as well...

Might not get a lot of likes for this one: but the modern magick groups are a great starting point. I'm talking The Gallery of Magick, The Power of Magick, and similar type of authors. You'll end up trying so many types of rituals because it's less theory focused and more experience driven.

There is not such a thing. You should listen your instincts and choose your path. Every person's path is different from one another.

If Left Hand Path is truly where your call is leading you, go straight to the source of Tantra. Just my personal opinion, but a lot of Western LHP paths don't really offer more than just edgy aesthetics.

I'm gonna go with a different answer than anyone else. I think the best thing for you to do as a beginner is take a little time and sit with the question "Why this, instead of either something else or nothing?". Once you can answer that question, that's when you can start comparing different schools and seeing which will offer you what you need. I wasted a lot of time pissing around with baneful witchcraft because I was titilated by the edginess of it. There's nothing wrong with that school, it just offered power over others and it turned out what I wanted was power over myself and an adversarial school of self-development. That's how I ended up into demonolatry and draconian work, and they resonated with me much more strongly. Now that's more or less my entire practice and its never worked better or given me better results.
