This week I started compiling a digital grimoire with information from my own research as well. Right now it iheavily references primary sources on magic but honestly with a good translation that’s really all you need…

Started my research back up again and ran into some leads that ultimately went nowhere. I’m a little bummed out but what I did learn will only help me further and deepen my personal practice. Once I formulate the thoughts properly I’ll share what I’ve learned

I’m working on some contemporary iconography of Bune while retaining the aesthetics of her ancient origins and I I hope she will accept it when I’m finished.

I am in awe of the efficacy of petitioning Bune. Through diligently staying the course with study, prayer, and action, I’ve been rewarded with my hard work being recognized and because of that I’ve recently had some promotions and opportunities for more pay at my job.

Praise to the Duchess for recognizing and rewarding my hard work. May she continue to open pathways to new and lucrative opportunities that are best suited for me.

Whats the best way to connect to bune?

In my experience, Invite her to sit with you, to introduce yourself and give offerings, both physical and otherwise. The first time I reached out I lit a beeswax candle dressed with oils, gave her cool water, sweet red wine, fine incense, and oranges. Other practitioners mentioned she appreciated citrus so I tried it as well.

I feel like she is very approachable if you know you’re willing to labor for the riches you are contacting her for. Be honest with her and yourself. She seems to value hard work including the physical labor of growing your own food, working for a wage, or providing nourishment in some way, and the mental labor of study and temperance. Like many others, I experience her as a woman, a duchess, but someone who is very involved with the various “riches” that the earth can provide. She is nobility but not afraid to sweat or get her hands dirty when you work hard alongside her. She is proud and wise, and feels very ancient.

I’m hoping I can confidently share more about her murky origins someday when my research is more complete.
