Does anyone else here have innate talents or gifts, ones that don’t need a lot of work to use? Ones that might lead to consequences if used incorrectly?
How about gifts/talents that run through the family?

My sister can find just about anything she wants, my papa has talked to ghosts (and had considered joining the clergy at one time), my mam talks to the house spirits & they listen, whilst I can find things for others & sense some entities naturally.
Though apparently my maternal great-granddad was a Masonic Druid? Never could get my nana to talk about it though.
On the paternal side, whilst trying to locate my ancestors there’s at least one Reverend there.

I have something like that too. First time noticed it in the second or 3rd grade, found cash notes in the school yard and randomly everywhere.
Cash notes, items, jewelry, other things. Some other people in the family had the same thing going on. Later I realized how it works, desires, emotions, directed towards the goal, maybe even add some visualizations and then it happens.
Yes this can lead to bad consequences too, you could get mad at somebody and...

To paraphrase Shakespeare: "Some are born lucky, some achieve luck, and some have luck thrust upon them"

I believe that magical ability is an unexpected by-product of normal human consciousness, but not everyone learns to use it, and very few people learn how to use it well. My wife and her sisters talk about "the power of whining" where they complain about something, and soon afterwards, that block goes away for some reason. I've tried talking to them about magic, but they're not really interested. I have seen this power in action a bunch of times, though :)

There are a lot of Revs. amongst my ancestors, too, but it was a common profession for centuries, like teaching.

Seeing/hearing, even smelling ghosts (perfume) and spirits seems to run from my Great gran, gran, dad, to me. Despite my gran and dad being sceptics. The rest of my family are blissfully unaware of ghosts or spirits.

For my sister it’s like she wants to see a specific actor or attend something and just wham! She’ll win tickets or someone drops out of a group she knows, or she logs on at the exact moment to buy tickets.
She‘s able to find bargains online and in person too. It’s scary sometimes what she can do.

I‘m a finder. Had a friend lose a ring when I was about 9-10. I found it in a really weird place; caught between the handle and side of a wicker baby basket. They’d already torn the room apart looking for it, but no join. We helped and I sadly got accused of stealing, which caused some issues for awhile.
Found another ring that a school mate lost in the swimming pool.
Helped a friend find a rare book at a reasonable price as well.
That seems to be on of my main gifts.
Though I can understand the animals I bond with, and the understand what I’m asking, even if it’s not something they’re been asked/told before.

I‘m usually bonded to rabbits and talk to the corvids living around me, but last year we took in a second cat. He hid for 3 days under my desk. Then he decided I was his and he’s been following me, or trying to get me to follow him ever since.
But then again I try to talk to animals in the language they speak, when I can.
