[Opinion] If you get angry at someone, will you curse them?

Everyone's got one.

Angry? No.

But there's too much injustice in the world and karma acts too slowly so some cursing is warranted. However cursing has limited efficacy in my limited experience.

I haven't done this much though. The first time was when a family member physically threatened me when I was a child. The cursing made them very ill but it was temporary. I was unable to get out of the situation but the cursing would always make them sick and there would be temporary safety.

If you get angry at someone, will you curse them?
In the context of human life and human interactions, everyone is affected in one way or another; so perhaps you’ll wake up one day to find a fool driven by arrogance, a sense of righteousness, hatred, or a conflict of interest with you.
So, would you use your magic to curse that fool, and if so, what kind of curse would you use, and how would you do it?
I’m not asking you to reveal your secrets, just what your thoughts are—or would you forgive them and not do it at all?
Cursing people is akin to spitting poison at someone from your own mouth. You still end up getting some too. Why waste your time and energy on something so petty and futile when you could spend it on yourself?

Will you accept his insults and remain silent in the face of all his deliberate acts of harm? And will you continue to be tolerant of him?
Forgiveness is different from ignorance. Forgiveness is letting go of all the energy they have put on you, not forgetting what they did.

Curse someone merely because I am angry at them ? No . It would have to be a lot more than me just being angry at them .

The Gospel of Witches suggest cursing rich peasants, so open season on HOA Karens.

Cursing people who upset me? Depends on what kind of upset. Thinking back on times I've aimed bad mojo at someone... pretty much always over money. Stand in the way of my dollars or take them from me and I get the fire going. Lot of other stuff I end up more or less overlooking altogether, but property is ultimately a game-piece and fair game to fight about.

I’d transmute the negative energy into art or something positive. Unless they were causing real, severe harm.

when he attacks me or my familie phisikly? Yes

And the general rule is people have more enemies than friends

And yeah, if my life or loved ones' lives are threatened, of course I'm going to defend myself by whatever means necessary

I can work to move him away from me.

If a curse is the better return I'll use one

you have to fight back!

There are very few people who I feel it's worth taking magical action against.

"The best revenge is being unlike the injurer."— Marcus Aurelius

Conjure for the really "BIG" ones!

That might help them to go somewhere else 🥲

cursing has limited efficacy in my limited experience.

Do magical curses have different levels of power, and is it also ethical to cause someone to move away from your location, job, or neighborhood simply because they are blocking, disrupting, or hindering your path?

Another question is: Whether curses are of the form of hexes, voodoo, or even Solomon’s Hebrew curses—or in any other form—are they ethical? And if they are not ethical, why did the ancients use them?

I suppose you could call it a "curse", but specifically, whenever I encounter someone that I know I am going to be around frequently and there's dissonance between us, first I look inward. As above, so below, as within, so without. The dissonance is not just being caused by this person in me, it is being caused by something I have an attachment to and I must decide if that attachment really matters to me. If it is something aligned with one of my core beliefs and it represents a boundary I cannot cross, then I might "curse" this person.

But what I will actually do to "curse" them, is to perform a ritual aimed at conjuring trickster spirits which will "initiate" them somehow. I do not really specify how they are going to do this, only that they try to get that person to evolve somehow, to get them to "initiate" a new hobby, a new career, a new educational goal, a new relationship, something. Something will happen in their life that will break the inertia of their current state of being and then perhaps they'll have a change of heart, leading to the organic resolution of the original problem without a need for direct confrontation.

So your choice is envy not wrath. Less fire, more rot, ultimately not that substanitially different. I honestly am not even sure if it's not wrath anyway, one feeds the other quite often and it all melds together.

What's considered "ethical" a thousand years ago was very different, especially in the rural parts of Indo-Europe and Mesopotamia. There was no singular, unified ethical system because people were spread out and isolated from each other. Travel was difficult, especially in the far north where it was very cold all the time and not a lot of sunlight during the Winter. The lifestyle of your average serf or peasant was extremely bleak, zero education outside of what your ma and pa showed you, if you traveled at all, it was to go to war for the thane of your clan or the castellan of the nearest outpost. Curses were a functional technology, like the bows and swords and armor they wore, it was considered an integral part of conflict with other tribes, clans, or foreign societies.

However, even back then, it was considered pretty shady and not exactly "honorable" to do, just, there was a context for it back then which made it relatively acceptable to do in those contexts. We don't live under the same conditions any more, so the same context doesn't apply as cleanly. The context was always some kind of group conflict that went beyond your own personal disputes with one person. Unless you were kind of a bad person, you waited until the next clan meeting or assembly to speak your mind and let the whole group sort it out with you. Most ancestral societies had robust legal systems for handling interpersonal disputes of this nature so you didn't have to take matters into your own hands. Just because they didn't have modern medicine and electricity, or lacked literacy, doesn't mean they acted like animals.

Do curse and hex your enemies, if you have not done it before, I can tell you it’s super satisfying when you see your curse work. It’s a phase you have to try as a LHP/dark magic user

I don’t do it anymore. I learned that it’s just the same as doing the evil deed yourself, you can’t escape the backslash. It can be less, if you’re are justified, but even then, I think it’s more beneficial to just forgive.
It’s the hurt pride that makes it harder.
I did curses for such petty reasons that at the end it made me just more bitter. If you can, just punch them in the face.

Cursing, and spell work against someone is not warranted if you're just mad at them. However, when there is an imbalance of social or financial power, and it's used to make your life miserable with no other redress possible, and it's an ongoing campaign to hurt people including you, it's time to consider it- but it's not free - you'll pay for it! Let's say a man's daughter had to be evicted from a group home because of some very serious unsocial behaviors. Her millionaire father then goes into our neighborhood telling tales about how awful our house is to our neighbors, and he succeeds in convincing the landlord to evict us, making 8 people homeless and living in a car in 100-degree weather. We find a new place, and he uses his real estate program to try and keep us from moving in. There was no redress possible, soI cursed him, and we moved into a gated community he couldn't enter in another city. You don't curse people because they deny you something like a job even though they know you, but when s/he uses another employee to humiliate you, they get a curse. Curses shouldn't be absolute. Leave ways out! If he apologizes, if s/he confesses his "evil" to a minister, or if s/he leaves us the hell alone, they can be forgiven but not forgotten. Holding on to grudges and resentments over something like this eventually makes you a bitter miserable person- so it has an END -it must have a time limit.

I don’t think we’re actually that pure, and even reality won’t treat us with the same purity—out there, there are scoundrels lying in wait… But is judging a person’s character alone enough to curse them, use voodoo and black magic, and send a horde of demons after them? Or do we need to reflect more carefully—and perhaps seek advice from those known for their balance, wisdom, and ability to judge matters correctly?

I have cursed people for directly hurting me or my friends, but I wouldn't curse someone for provoking me. Doesn't worth all the energy and effort.

Magical curses most definitely have varying degrees of power! Some consider ethics largely a human construct. Belief systems and personal understanding vary greatly here, "Organized" religion will get you "every time". (Gave it up Long ago!) I don't believe it's wise to curse if I'm not willing to accept the consequences. There are "always" consequences! Will the consequences "outweigh" any perceived "benefit/s"?

Here's the bottom line, IMO.

The "vibratory level" of any energy that you handle, generate, invoke or evoke, and allow to pass through your being (especially consistently) will largely determine a host of things about you. Others can often sense this in various forms quite clearly.
Deep calls to deep! We are "all" present in the "collective consciousness". And, that's not always the "collective unconsciousness".
It's "unwise to forget or minimize that", again, IMO! Nothing you evoke, or Invoke for that matter, is going to bear the consequences of your actions "for" you! There will always be those who want something for nothing, the nothing is usually "no" hard work?
So, go ahead and curse if you feel "justified", the consequences will let you know if you are, it can be quite liberating!
