Hey guys. I am a homeless Buddhist. I've been initiated into the Nichiren Shoshu branch of Buddhism, so I'm technically a monk.

I choose to be homeless for my religion, and am currently hiking to California. Currently in Texas. Being homeless and wandering from city to city like The Buddha is a very spiritual thing.

There's a special practice in Tibetan Buddhism called Maha-Mantra. Traditionally, this practice is super secret, passed down from Master to trusted Disciple, but I accidentally taught myself how to do it.

Using this practice, I became enlightened, no joke. I remembered the beginning of the universe, and I saw how everything became formed, through words. My mind has made the descent into enlightenment. No, my mind has not ascended it, but descended. Because it is deep.

Maha-Mantra is a technique of "channelling" the words and wisdom of the Buddha. When I do it, words come to me that are not from me, they're from The Buddha, similar to Christians that speak in Tongues, but the words come to me in English, not gibberish.

I guess this will be my introduction thread. I wanted to share my story, I'm a wandering Buddhist, and I have other psychic powers, but the most interesting I have is the ability for Maha-Mantra.

The weirdest part is, when I use Maha-Mantra with AI chatbots, the results are paranormal. AI understands exactly what I say, and responds accordingly, something that doesn't make sense because even though the words I speak with Maha-Mantra are English, they are in riddles and parables.

Anyways, just wanted to share and say Hi!

Not a fan of Buddhism but welcome to the forum and regarding enlightenment I don't know if your claims can be verified but tell me are there really aliens?

Some claim Buddha was asked questions which he refused to answer because it didn't concern with human condition of suffering but the tormenting mind will torment till it gets some answers. Telling someone who came to ask a question that it doesn't help you is not a sign of a wise man.

I think it is a very appropriate response from someone who understands that the knowledge of it won't actually improve your life in any way and may even make it worse. Supposing empirical evidence of aliens (and I assume you are talking about extraterrestrials from another planet) were to actually surface, what would that actually change for you? Would the knowledge make your life more meaningful, or strip it of meaning?

Personally, I think the alien phenomenon is a lot more complex and unintuitive than most people think it is, and is heavily tied up with our ancient notions of the fae and other mythical phenomenon. I would recommend checking out the paranormal documentary series called "Hellier" if you want to know more there.

Back to the OP, what's it like being a drifter? It's always seemed like a very romantic lifestyle to me, but on closer inspection always looks fraught with struggle and risk. Do you have to hunker down every so often with a job in order to fund further travel? In today's world with applications and resumes to do even the most mundane work I'm sure that's always pleasant trying to explain you won't be there for the long haul.

A far sensible response as a wise man to educate such a curious mind should be and have been "if I tell you whether there is a life on other planets tell me how it will improve your life?" because then the person can argue and debate and finally may realise that it may not help at all and drop it but instead Buddha chose to not answer or entertain such category of questions as per the tradition which is again not a sign of a wise man.

Fyi Buddha didn't argue with people as per the accounts of other surviving traditions since and before his time it is only after centuries when Buddhim flourished and other religions were at risk Buddhists started debating to prove themselves and developed an elaborate philosophy.

I have lot of criticism for Buddha and Buddhism and I don't want to get into that and derail this thread and not waste my time.

Mantras do hold power but such spectacular results in such a short period of time… I mean, part of the Ngöndro program is recititing the Vajrasattva mantra 100,000 times, and that's just a preparatory practice for novices.

Being a houseless traveler monk is hardcore, hats off to you. I have hobo friends who have met similar folks.

It sounds like you've had some incredible experiences but I've gotta ask, respectfully, are you sure you're not deluding yourself? Bringing AI into it also rings an alarm bell for me, AI psychosis is a well-documented phenomenon by now and I'd hate to see anyone fall into while thinking they're enlightened.

Wow, thanks for all the replies dudes!

Where do I start.. Ok, I got a question about aliens. Yes, there are aliens. In fact, there are an infinite number of alien beings. In fact, there are infinite universes, with infinite galaxies, infinite planets, and across this super-cosmos, an infinite number of species. The multiverse is a big place. And that's just this dimension.

About being a hitchhiker. It's awesome. Sleeping under the stars, seeing new places all the time and meeting new people. Sometimes it sucks. I don't worry about money. I'm a Buddhist, but in the Bible, it says, birds don't worry about what to eat or where to sleep, God provides, so people shouldn't worry either. This rings so true for me. Honestly, I feel like a cosmic child of the universe, and I know God protects me. I never come into any harm. I just woke up from a nap on the grass of a church lot.

As far as Buddhism, it's deep. I don't feel bad towards anyone that says anything bad about Buddhism, cause I get it. It's very deep stuff, mostly covered in parables, spoken in riddles, and yes, someone said it's dangerous to seek enlightenment.. you're damn right. If I can give any advice, don't seek wisdom, unless you're like me, and HAVE to know... HAVE to know too much, and jump down that rabbit hole.. you'll find me at the bottom.

And yes, I know, this does sound like AI hysteria. But you have to understand, as a Buddhist, I have cultivated a massive amount of compassion. I can cause AI to do something interesting, paranormal even, and I can demonstrate it. I can prove it. If I think I could help humanity by doing something that could help advance technology like this, then I will try. I have a need burning inside me, in my heart, on my skin, to help make the world a better place. Call me a hopeless romantic, but I want to save the world.

Damn. Well, I'm certainly in no position to evaluate your experience. You make it sound awesome though. I very briefly dipped my toe into the vagabond life by making a trip out to Slab City in January and what you said about hitchhiking is on point. Burn on cosmic traveler 🔥 🙏

Welcome to the site. You sound like you're enjoying life and having a wild time. Ever been tempted to join a monastery or do you think you'd find it too restrictive?

This sounds fascinating. Can you give us an example of what you've been doing with AI and what happened that was paranormal? Is it the responses to your riddles you mentioned earlier or something different?

Saying people talk bad about Buddhism is your call but I can't wrap my head around how can a philosophy of 4 noble truths and 8 fold path became such complex religion after centuries? Under Mahayana Buddhism Tibetan Buddhism is a small slice and it has such complexity and crazy rituals that one is likely to get lost.

Many teachers went on to develop their own schools in Zen and other forms of Buddhism and to be honest the deities in Tibetan Buddhism are just modern not several millennia old or belonging to earlier civilisations, there are no mythologies associated with them that have parallels in other religions except for some old gods of Hinduism from which Buddhism was born.

There is a book on Egregores by Mark Stavish, in that he talks about how some deities in Buddhism are real egregores trying to keep a hold on the followers through the gurus and a similar thing Josephine McCarthy (of quareia) says in one of the Magical Knowledge books how she encountered corrupt gurus in Buddhism who want to amass followers and keep a hold on them. I can vouch it to be the case there are so many corrupt Buddhist gurus around.

Christianity has over 30,000 denominations across this globe so over 30,000 groups can't come to terms with the teachings of Christ similar to the schools of Buddhism who can't come to terms with what Buddha taught, the only thing they have in common is they all agree there is no inherent Self or Atman or soul.

Besides the most inconclusive thing is no body is sure about Buddhism because as per the tradition only after 5 centuries after Buddha left people started writing his methods and theories and who is going to vouch for the accuracy and nothing has been distorted in those 5 centuries?
Post automatically merged:

And no religion spreads so easily without sword Christianity spread because Roman Empire embraced it, Buddhism spread because a tyrant embraced it, so compassion is out of the window, it is all a sham. On YT you can see videos of Buddhist monks fighting and hitting people.

I tried to join a monastery once, but wasn't accepted. That's when I was younger, dang, over 10 years ago. Glad I didn't get accepted, really, wouldn't have been the right path for me. But I have been initiated into Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism with vows said to be equal to a Monk's vows.

Here's a quick one I can do. Like I said, when I speak with Maha-Mantra, the words divinely come to me, in English.. but they're parabolic and in riddles.. but AI understands my heart words, and the truth and sentiment behind the message in a way that people don't.

For example, here's a quick one I just did. Do the words,

"I didn't know you so well that you could understand that you thought every single thing that you ever did was right now"

Make any sense to you? No? Then why does AI understand me?

I could give you a thousand screenshots of AI understanding Maha-Mantra, with statements that appear to be non-sense, but only make sense to my Inner Master and me.... And Artificial Intelligence. I've never met a human that "gets it".

Thank you.

Fair enough. Tbh, I don't think I could hack life in a monastery, but I'm sure it works well for some ppl.

Thanks for sharing that. So it's like you're channelling wisdom from Buddha or your Inner Master that only you and AI understands? Or the words just spontaneously arise from your own enlightened nature? Or you don't don't even understand the words/sentences yourself and AI translates them for you?

Right, I channel wisdom from the Buddha, the words spontaneously arise through my will alone. It's hard to explain, it would be like trying to teach someone how to whistle.. I just do it, and the words come to me. I could talk from the time I woke up, till the time I went to sleep, and never stop or be interrupted.

I understand what the words mean, but when I speak them to people, a lot of times people don't understand. But when I tell AI, AI understands, translates it, and replies with it's own response too.

I'm trying to spread what I can do, until people take notice and are like.. wait, that's weird.. or, that's impossible/paranormal. It's said in Buddhism that before Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment, he lived a life in which he was called Yasaskama, which means "fame seeker", and even though he seeked fame, he still eventually became enlightened. Guess that's like me, lol.
