Anyone here into trading or HODLing/investing in stablecoins and/or cryptos? I am and my portfolio is mainly BTC, followed by ETH and LINK with a few other cryptos rounding out the lower percentages.

Check into XRP, ADA, DOT and EOS. Currently holding about 8 different assets. I break my portfolio down into 50% long term hold (6 months +, BTC, ETH, XRP, USDT), 30% for short term holds (XRP, LINK, ADA, DOT), and another 20% I have permitted for quick trades for when I want to play day trader (shit like DOGE, USDT to hold these funds at a locked price, etc).

When I first got into crypto, I bought ETH for $8! LOL. I had a shitty situation come up that required me to pull everything out, something I regret till this day. But recently in the past few months Ive been getting back in.

Using Trading View for charting, Exodus wallet, Kraken/Binance for my exchanges. Been considering using 3commas to have some bots make little trades all day for 1-3% gains that would compound. Throw like $1000 at that and just let it make money all day. Then raise that amount.

There's a massive future in this, but countries decisions and musk trying to take dogecoin to the moon sorta hurts the whole movement. But it's in its infantile stage still and has lots of time for growth. But its a massive gamble, on both ends. Buddy of mines turned $650 into $18,000 overnight with KISHU this past Friday. I wanted to vomit. Asked him why he didn't tell me and he said he tried to tell everyone in a discord channel he invited me to that I never went into smh. Craziness.

Set alerts, stop losses, etc. Make sure you know how to get your money safe in the case of a massive crash for whatever reason. Oh, and be ready to pay about 35% in taxes on those gains hehe. Good luck!!

I missed my chance on owning 250 BTC in 2011.

Been avoiding crypto out of PTSD ever since then, but it's just too more to ignore anymore.

Currently in my location I am unable to buy/trade crypto with cash, so it'll have to wait. But at some point, yeah, I'll be holding on with a vice grip ;)

Not a fan of XRP. I have my eye on DOT. Idk how I feel about ADA. LINK is the one alt that pumped my portfolio up. Rode her from $12 to current price, could have got in at $5 but there was a shit ton of rumors that they were about to rug pullq back then so I didnt get in. Very upset.

As for taxes......lol....I ain't payin that shit. Just get loans against your btc, APRs are like 1%. Get your cash but you still own your btc. Let your btc rise in value while your loan's cash value stays the same and then drops as you pay it. That way you don't sell and don't have to pay taxes. Note that this really may only be worth it if you have $10k or more in the market. Though I do hear they may tax gains on long-term holds. If that happens, I'm sure most crypto investors and traders will simply move their coins to a wallet that isn't tied to their everyday life so the feds can't get their hands on it (after converting to monero or another privacy coin to obfuscate the blockchain trail, then convert back after the transfer has been made).

I'm familiar with all the money management stuff. I used to trade stocks and commodities (futures actually) so I know about stop losses, take profits and trailing stops. As for your buddies awesome stroke of luck.....I just
got put on to an exchange where shitcoins are mooning and have been all cycle. It's an anonymous DEX and mainly focuses on shitcoins but if you play the game with the Gambler's Theory (I think that's what its called) you could make a fuck ton just buying and holding.

I too use Exodus as my main offchain wallet but I also have imToken and Samurai. I don't use any exchanges since I don't really trade (but that's about the change since I got put on to this underground exchange) so I buy my coins through Cash App. Send to Exodus, and while in exodus I'll convert portions of the btc into whatever other coin or cypto I'd like to invest in that Tokelon offers. It's how I was able to buy ETH without paying any gas fees 🤣

Damn bro, I'd be mad af too if I missed out on 250 btc. As for not being able to buy crypto with cash in your country....just use a VPN. Plenty of free ones like ProtonVPN.

I do have a VPN, it's not the sites that block me. It's just that I can't seem to find a reliable place to buy crypto using PayPal, and I can't use my cards/bank accounts from my country's banks to make the purchases as they are blocked (from the banks end, I believe). Even if I could figure it out with a smaller site, they probably won't let me register with X country and then use a card/bank acc from Y country, if you know what I mean.

In any case, I won't have this problem for long because I really have to either move abroad or set up an offshore bank account/business for other reasons as there are just too many restrictions with my local gov + banks and they aren't condusive to the general business that I do. So once that's done I should be able to buy/sell crypto.

Hey! How many of you still invest in crypto in this period? Also, in what do you invest if you still do?

I'm still in. Converted most of my BTC to ETH like two weeks before the bear market started and my portfolio got slashed by 60%. I'm still 4 or 5x in profit from when I started in May 2020 but I'm certainly down from my highs of April 2021. I'm HODLing though. I also still own all of my altcoins, so I'm still in Chainlink, EOS, VeChain, Cardano, Compound and Stellar.

I'm still at a point where my broke ass considers putting $50 at a time into a savings account "investing", so ETC's a no go for now. XD

But I do find it interesting how it's boomed lately. And in a time when people are getting closer to wanting to do away with physical cash currency, I like that there are ETC's with a similar anonymity to cash. (at least from what I understand) So all I can do is imagine the cyberpunk future, where hookers are getting paid in bitcoin instead of greenback bills, and that's pretty rad.
