Ella Roberts kicks ass!!! Sang a lot of my families loved Irish/Scottish songs. Wonderful voice.

Okay, you fuckers think that shit's good? You poor, wayward souls. Do me a favor and find yourself some songs from a band called the Rogues. They are quite literally world-renown in the bagpipe world.

Here's some to get you started:

My family was close to the members, and this is pretty much the background music of my childhood. Nothing like hearing the pipes live, there's a depth to the sound that even studio recordings can't quite replicate.

Listening to all this makes me want to go to the Renaissance Festival, the UK Village and the Scottish Festival, here in Michigan. If I recall correctly, at least the Scottish festival has live bagpipes.

Scottish festivals you're probably guaranteed to find pipers at, Renaissance festivals are also AMAZING for a multitude of reasons. I'm actually working at one again this year, now that I'm vaccinated and kinda need the spare cash. But it doesn't really feel like a job, feels more like getting paid to party on the weekends.
