They say America’s whole idea of pizza is a huge bastardization of the original from Italy, but I feel like we’ve also kinda taken it and made it into its own good thing.
That's what the US always does, and I'm not mad about it. Take what you like from other cultures and make it into something you want it to be. They're not forcing Italy to make US style pizza. Why shouldn't people be able to make versions of already existing foods that they prefer over the original.

Like honestly, I hate authentic italian pizza. It's so basic, tasteless and boring. "But but simple good simple mean quality ingredients and you can taste the technique" no you bitch all I taste is sour bread and sour cheese and sour fucking tomato paste. Fuck italian pizza. US pizza is better.

I’ve never had Italian-style pizza before, so I’ll just have to take your word for it. 🤣

I can understand the sentiment of thinking somebody’s fucked up your cuisine, though, because sometimes things can be taken and made objectively worse. Northerners fuck southern food up all the time, simply by failing to understand that health has nothing to do with it. The point is flavor. When a recipe calls for butter, the answer will always be moar. Same for salt, sugar, bacon, carbs or anything else that the health-conscious would shy away from. If you skimp on the flavor components and add nothing else of value, it’s just gonna be the kinda tasteless shit they’d give you in a nursing home.

So it's not necessarily a dish per se, but something I've grown fond of doing lately, since we got this big tin of those Danish butter cookies. Take a cookie, get a can of cupcake icing, and spray all that good shit onto the cookie. It has become my new favorite midnight snack.

Healthy Fanta:

Squeeze out 4 big lemons (or three lemons and one red grapefruit)
Add 1 teaspoon of ginger powder, 1 of kurkuma and 1 if black pepper.
Pour into a glass bottle of about 1 liter and shake vigorously.
Add enough tap water to fill the bottle.

Then, pour about an inch of this in a glass and add carbonated (fizzy) water.

Best softdrink in the world.

The lemon juice stimulates burning off fat and the herbs have health benefits and really add a lot of flavour.

Great drink to kickstart your day with.

Vegetables soup with bell peppers, carrots, Broccoli, onions, maybe even cauliflower or squash, garlic. If I want fresh fresh I'll make a broth with tomatoes but I usually end up mixing tomato sauce with V8 and water. Any meat works with this but to be extra healthy I like just vegetables.

OK so here are some of my favorite meals:
  • Anything involving raw/smoked salmon. Personally I think cooking salmon is an incredible crime. I love sashmi, spicy salmon sushi rolls, and bagels with cream cheese and lox.
  • Obviously I love myself a good steak here's my rankings:
    • Tomahawk
    • Ribeye
    • T-bone
    • Sirloin
    • Tenderloin / Filet Mignon
    • Hangar
    • Literally anything else
    • Rump
  • Roast/Peking Duck also Roast Goose
  • Tonkotsu Ramen. This has basically now become the only ramen I enjoy.
  • Beef rib roast, Brazillian BBQ, Korean BBQ
  • I do enjoy some good chinese food, from properly cooked egg fried rice with shredded chicken, to soup dumplings
There's so much more but this is all I could think of for now.
Thai Chicken Coconut Curry
Jack Daniels Steak
Chicken Fricasee
Jambalaya
Chicken Gumbo
Pepper Steak
Cheeseburger Mac n Cheese
Johnny/Corn Bread
Chili/Ghoulash
Crepes, particularly banana Nutella

Pizza went from Italy to the US. At that time it was sold in bakeries, cold, tasted sweet, no crunch, no toppings other than cheese. Awful, but cheap. Then it returned to Italy. I must say, they definately topped it.
I do my own pizza Napoli, I use Caputo 00 flour, water, yeast, pinch of sugar and salt. Let it ripe in the fridge overnight.
Use whole tomatoes from tins, pick them out, pour the juice away. Orgegano, salt, sugar in. Blend it.
Mozarella on top, when ready, fresh basil.

My pizza oven does 500° C plus.

This is finger food. You get kicked out of Naples if you attempt to use silverware. :ROFLMAO:

Vegetarian chili

1 packet of McCormick chili seasoning
2 cans red beans
1 small can tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can corn
1 bag Boca crumbles
A few slices of Velveeta cheese
1 bag shredded lettuce
Sour cream
Shredded cheese

Brown the Boca crumbles in a pan that you'd cook hamburger helper in. Drain and rinse the beans and corn. Add seasoning, beans, corn, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Cook until hot. Add, mix and melt cheese to your liking. Once everything is cooked serve with shredded cheese, lettuce and sour cream.
