This is a very simple way to make an offering to ancestors / other loved ones that have passed.
The best time to do this is after sunset on the night of Halloween

1
Use a glass to cut a circle from a slice of (white) bread
2
Using honey or a jam, trace an invoking pentagram on it
3
Take it to a crossroads
4
Hold it in your left hand, and (with your right index finger) trace the pentagram three times as you say
Requiem aeternam Dona
Eis Domine et Lux Perpetua
Luceat eis

5
Place the host at the center of the crossroads on the ground
6
Say / whisper / think
a short but heartfelt prayer for the dead
7
Say
Requiescant in pace
8
Make the sign of the cross
9
Return to your home

Thanks 👍 I have corrected it.
I've just channelled the ghost of my old Latin teacher Mrs. Sadler who made an almighty row in my head because I hadn't gotten my subjunctive endings of the e-type (requiescere) conjugation straight - "requiescat" (sg.) is "May he/she/it rest", "requiescant" (pl.) is "May they rest", my bad, so you were right after all (unless you're performing the ritual for a single specific ancestor).

I'll never live that embarrassment down.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
