There is a rare manuscript of Merlin discovered. Interesting to see how he appears in 2 ways in the story: in one occasion as a harpist and in another occasion with expensive clothes. Reminds me about the idea that wizards/sorcerers are often good in shapeshifting, only showing what they want to show. This story is dated end 13th century/ begin 14th century.

The article you linked to is about Van Goghs "The Starry Night" - or is it about something I can't see ??

I'm only authorized to edit or delete posts in the Library but can't do it here. I'm sure @Yazata can help you there.

Very interesting indeed. A manuscript from that era, featuring Merlin in such varied guises. It certainly lends credence to the notion that those versed in the arcane arts possess a certain... adaptability. A shapeshifting of sorts, perhaps not in the literal sense, but in the way they present themselves to the world. It's all about control, you see, about curating an image that serves a particular purpose. But who am I to speculate? Just a humble scholar, fascinated by the tales of old. Though, I must admit, the idea of a wizard as a master of disguise does hold a certain... appeal. After all, the most potent magic is often the kind that goes unnoticed. Don't you agree?
