Perhaps you’ll recognize this excerpt from Blackwood’s book on vampirism, he claims this is a highly effective way to initiate the flow of energy from your target to yourself, but unfortunately he seems to only provide a bit of context on how to actually induce this state.

Has anyone effectively induced this state, and if so what would you advise to properly do so?

That placebo affect vamping a very low standard. Your just forcing your energy bodies to think your sick so you naturally pull energy from others to heal yourself.

It's the weakest form of energy stealing since you'll only receive a small amount of energy & a chance to actually trick yourself into getting sick not a recommended process.

Use the breathing energy net method...

I thought the same thing about getting sick as a result of visualizing and inducing that state. Can you elaborate more on the net method or send appropriate material for it?

Visualize a blue bright net that expands when you breath out and visualize it contracting when you breath in collecting energy each time it expands and bringing it into yourself as it contracts. Energy is everywhere so you don't need to vamp people or life forms..

A simple mantra of " I'm energy " is enough to get energy.

Vamping from people is like parasite level since most humans are pretty empty.

Why on earth would you want to cause yourself to be weak? Lol you don't need to induce weakness, just become lazy and let the nature turn you so weak that it becomes hard to be strong. Then you might find value of building strength.

Would recommend instead to do heavy physical training, exhausting yourself induces feeling of weakness too, but of much better kind.

initiate the flow of energy from your target to yourself,
I haven't read the book and can't comment on it, but when you asked this same question last year or so, I interpreted it as making yourself seem weak so that your target would (sub)consciously be willing to give you energy. Still think that's what the basic idea is to be honest. You definitely shouldn't placebo yourself into sickness..

Perhaps he is just saying to , when attempting to ‘drain’ another, assume not quite a predatory stance, but instead one where you basically acknowledge the target will give you their energy much as a parent would when you were sick, a simple knowing that the drain is occurring …

Interesting, the blue net seems to work. Wonder why you doubt the efficacy of vampirism tho, it seems to be almost a natural element to me from what I’ve experienced in interactions both personal and of others.

If you are going to meditate on being sick, dependent, and powerless (and align yourself with that miserable state), why not go all the way and meditate on your body fully decomposing and turning to dust to overcome your fear of death?

The author is advising you to basically cause sympathy on the astral level so people automatically feel sorry for you. Being a good entertainer is much better and doesn't call for pity and still gets you their voluntary contribution of energy. I mean, if you want to make yourself a sickly kid in the astral and suckle on people's pity, that's your choice, but I find that to be a sad piece of advice. Keep in mind that you'll eventually become what you repeat the most as you inadvertently align yourself with that state. By the way, the feeling of comfy, sleepy weakness while having, for example, the flu is caused by histamine.
