I'm interested in seeing what you guys are currently reading and/or studying in terms of occult texts. I'm currently studying two texts at the moment. The first is The Magical Mason by R.A. Gilbert. This one is a bit of synchronicity because several YT channels I'm subscribed to have been talking about astrotheology lately and using the Bible as their source. This book has a chapter on astrotheology and it blows guys like Micah Dank out of the water with their vague and loose interpretations of the topic. I seriously need to get my podcast going so I can get on channels like that and correct the often quoted misinformation. Anyway, the second book I'm reading is Occult Medicine & Practical Magic by Samael Aun Weor. What about you guys?

Just finished Enochian Vision Magick by Lon Milo DuQuette and currently reading Enochian Magick In Theory by Frater Yechidah. Both are wonderful books and I appreciate how both dive into the “why” of the system instead of merely just how to perform rituals in it.

Very nice! Enochian scares tf outta me if I'm being honest. I don't feel anywhere near ready to begin working that system. Have you worked any of the practical elements of Enochian? Would love to hear your experiences.

Currently I am reading Entering the Desert by Craig Williams. The book has been a strange but enjoyable journey thus far. It's not traditional Gnosticism by any means and the underlying threads the author puts forward is incredibly reminiscent of a personal philosophy of mine, which is quite synchronous. Originally I was going to purchase the book Arcanum from the same publishing company (Anathema), but this book stood out in the process. While the text can be repetitious at times, I believe it is still a valuable tool regarding inner work.

Always looking for good texts on Gnosticism! I've been studying the Johannite strain of Gnosticism, quite interesting!

I'm unsure if I would consider this book, itself, Gnostic specifically in the traditional sense of Gnosticism. I apologize for being unclear, as there was use of description under the framework in which the author describes his own work. It may help to quote his exact meaning here, from the introduction of Entering the Desert:

"I would like to conclude the introduction by addressing my use of the term 'gnostic' in relation to this text. My employment of the term 'gnostic' is in no way related or connected to the conception of an Abrahamic Christian experience; rather, it is functionally related to the esoteric concept of the individual's direct personal experience of the Numinous, un-mediated by tradition or orthodoxy. While tradition provides an important structure and foundation for the manifestation of the presence of the Numinous, it in no way guarantees this mystical visitation; the individual must manifest an environment that is conducive for esoteric experience. Therefore, usage of the germ 'gnostic' implies a direct experiential immersion of the individual's life and awareness within the mystical body of the Numinous, a personal taste of the Inexpressible from which the individual returns transformed."

I hope this helps a little, and again sorry for any confusion.

(Also there's a chance I'm just being dumb, having woken up not too long ago haha)

I’m terrible with reading only one book at a time, so I’ve got several going. IIH, the Exorcist’s Handbook, Encyclopedia of Celtic Wisdom to name a few.
Ahem, you might want to specify the full title of IIH for those who might not know what you're talking about..

I haven’t. I’ve been talking to someone who has kind of taken me on to help me and guide me through it. I might start with planetary Magick from the Heptarchia before I jump into Enochian as I think that’s how it was designed to be. I’ll definitely write my experiences down whenever I do elemental or Aethyrial work. :)

i am not so much reading as well as meditating on a little booklet called 'the devils qoran'. it is mostly about 'The One Who Is Not To Be Named'
right now it seems to me that when one uses it in combination with the normal qoran more Truth is revealed. one needs to be able to fend one's self though. so proper nowhow about islam is quite important for the wellbeing of ones self. but also knowledge about other beings like djinn, demons, the death, etc. is quite important otherwise one can find ones self in a death trap, very often litterally. so its quite the adventure im having.

Hello! Hello, The God-King! I was member on the original forum and the second. I still remember your material, TGK. I have a lot of respect for you. I really liked the threads you were making.
About the books: yesterday I read The Neonomicon, Middle Pillar and Magia sexualis: Sex, Sorcery, and Liberation in Modern Western Esotericism. Today I want to read The Black Pullet

I remember you as well! Glad you're back on the 2nd incarnation of WF. Let me know how you like the Black Pullet if you do read it. It is not on my list of favorite grimoires.

Maybe you confuse me with someone else because I don't think we got in direct contact before. (On the old versions of WF) I was a child (in the 5th and/or 6th grade) when I was going through your material.
I got through the Black Pullet. I didn't really like it (I refer to the story-telling part). The part with the sigils/talismans and rings is interesting and I kind of dig it and the talismans/sigils and rings deserve to be used at some point 😉
