Symbols or rune ideas for tattoos

Hello, i wanted to get a full arm cover up and fill it with protection runes or stuff from that sort of angle, i already have the tetragamaton in mind not sure if i spelled it correctly but i'm looking for ideas!! Any suggestions??

This is something to think about for months even after you choose the runes. Maybe not to mix various traditions, like Christianity and paganism. It can become a problem.

Also be very certain of what you want, because tattoo is not cheap and it alters your body for the rest of your life. With religious symbols there can be big problem if you convert to another faith.

If you insist, first you might want to buy henna and paint something on your hand yourself or with help to see how the surroundings will react. Also don't forget that presence of tattoo can be big problem when looking for a job.

I have about 30 tattoos, i'm going to get a full arm cover up, and in that tattoo i want to get as much protection symbols as humanly possible, i was joking around with my ex the other day, she is a really bad person and practices witchcraft, that i wanted to become a mobile nuke, basically become that, protected to the absolute core, any sugestions?

Oh, that changes things.

Still I would take a proper planning. Protective symbols can be many and they can be even sorted to form protective symbol together, like in the case of YHVH you can do filling of the letters with each letter or entire name, like in this picture:

Then it is about how to position it etc... And I don't think that jealous god would like himself to be in presence of others... maybe except few of his angel servants.

You should start with symbols that hold power and have meaning to you. For example if I picked up a cross it wouldn’t magically protect me. I would have to have a connection to it on a spiritual and psychological level. If I were you I would choose symbols that hold spiritual significance in whatever spiritual background or religion you have for the best results. You could design a custom symbol or sigil based around your own beliefs and it would be more powerful than a rune someone suggested. If you get into Asatru or Thursatru there are runes or rune staves worth learning but you would have to be committed to their spiritual beliefs to get results.

Like Hellena said, as we can not tell what your practice, background, connections are it's hard to give suggestions that would fit you for the rest of your life. Still of course there are many commonly known protection seals etc. The key would be that you have a connection to them. So tattooing is a form of ritual, you can design your ritual in any form you like- so even a geometric blackout cover up could have the same effect for you like for example 20 seals, sigils, runes and charms if you design your ritual right and connect the intention with the for example black out cover up.

But i know where you are coming from as i thought about a collection of seals, sigils for myself at some point.

The definite answer would be a connection you have or build to these seals etc. if you want to cover your arm for the sake of protection, otherwise that would be- no offense- pretty close to fashion tattoos of a cross etc.

You could combine some different systems, but as Morell said, some 'bite' each other a little bit, like the tetragrammaton and nordic runes- although they do not really have to idk XD

If i were you i would look into sigil creation and experiment with creating own sigils that represent your intention, pair it with a seal or two maybe. I wanted to become a tattooer at some point, so I'm a little hardcore with the aesthetics part, so I would have to see before giving any advice anyways.

You could also pour your intention into a symbol, like for example a dragon, that you connect to a ritual at home, that you connect with all kinds of seals and empower it angain and again, without anyone knowing that it is a chargeD symbol for you. I guess u get where i'm coming from.

So becoming your nuclear bunker arm was also in part ties to liking the aesthetics of occult symbols i suppose? I get that, but I guess that is mostly dependent on you connection to any symbol. And for the most part I don't see too many wiz's covered in all seals they work with, apart from maybe Damien Echols lol.
